We are thrilled to welcome one of our favourite DNB record label bosses to the airwaves tonight!! All the way from the UK with Smooth N Groove Records, it’s  CHRISTAL! The SNG record label has been  consistently pushing the best quality atmospheric, funky, soulful, and rolling vibes in drum n bass since 2016. And we love their releases so much! Featuring an opening set from JOANNA O.

Christal is the label co/owner of the prominent Drum & Bass label - Smooth N Groove Records alongside Clen. The label is based out of Northampton, UK and Washington DC, USA. Smooth N Groove Records launched in May 2016 opening with their first release, Jrumhand’s Beaches & Countryside.

Smooth N Groove Records is a Drum & Bass label dedicated to bringing atmospheric, Funky, Soulful, rolling vibez from the best in the scene to the ears of all listeners. Since its conception Smooth N Groove has established a respectable place within the scene with full support from their peers and an ever growing fan base.

Chris has been running a club night since 2018 alongside Soul Deep Recordings head honcho, Scott Allen, Clen and John Crossland, AKA SoulStructure. Appropriately named Soul Deep vs Smooth N Groove, representing artists from both labels to perform at their events. They have also taken the Soul Deep vs Smooth N Groove brand to the west coast of America hosting events in Los Angeles at Respect, and San Francisco at Stamina.

The next Soul Deep vs Smooth N Groove is planned to take place at Club 43, Northampton, UK, on August 5th.

Wild Camp Out 2024 | Warm Up Grooves

I couldn’t have dreamed of a better finish to 2024.. opening up the main stage at Wild Camp Out Festival, with all my friends dancing along in the afternoon sunshine.

Wild Camp Out 2024 | Main Stage Opening Set

The finale of a multi day festival is always special, yet this one had a little extra juice. At midday I was offered a 3pm slot for the Fruit Party Stage, which I couldn’t refuse..

I grabbed my laptop & hustled together this selection of Disco/Funk vibes, then raced back to catch the last 20 minutes of TDAWG.

I was unsure where the set would end, but a timeless disco classic took us through to 60 minutes nicely. Best of all, my partner in crime was front and centre on our second anniversary.. enjoy folks :)

Blazing Swan 2025 | Mad Monday @Funkazba

TBC has quickly become one of my favourite camps at @blazing-swan 
thanks to the cosy environment created by their talented team.
