'London’s DJ duo Hart & Neenan deliver the tenth release for Ben Rau’s flawless META label, and deliver a trio of hypnotizing and exquisite house tracks on the ‘Refused’ EP. 

 Glorious waves of tones wash over the swinging and tuff beats of ‘Around Us’, whilst a similar sound aesthetic is ploughed on ‘Free’, with a mesmerizing bassline anchoring a sci-fi inflected mood.  Title track, ‘Refused’, bangs hardest, with a bright and effervescing production that supremely seals this skillful release from Hart & Neenan. 

 Embarking on their production path some three years ago, the pair have released their collaborations on the District 9, Low Groove and Sanity labels, whilst Neenan also forged solo outings on label heavyweights Viva Music, and Kerri Chandler’s MadTech. '

Hot Creations artist Jholeyson joins Stefano Noferini’s Deeperfect imprint with a percussive  house release entitled ‘Mikies EP’.    Since his debut release just three years ago, Colombian DJ and producer Jholeyson has caught the  attention of some of house music’s biggest names, including Jamie Jones, Lee Foss, Steve Lawler,  Hector Couto and Detlef to name a few. Now, with a stream of previous releases on the likes of Material,  Low:Res and Roush, alongside helming his own Sticker Music imprint, he now brings his Latin-infused  and vocal rich production to Deeperfect.    ‘Day Before’ opens with rolling percussion, delicate vocal chops, groovy low-end and a luscious electric  bass riff injecting some serious funk into things. Next, ‘Mikies’ goes into a deep, low-slung, groove with  chunky kicks, cutting lyrics, rattling drums, perky claves and shimmering cymbals, a perfect cut for  after-dark.

Longstanding house duo Prok | Fitch make a much-anticipated debut on Hot Creations with Tease​. The two-track EP sees them collaborate with London vocalist Kyozo and continues a stunning 2020 that has seen them release on Repopulate Mars and Solid Grooves already this year.

A swinging 4x4 bassline powers alongside punchy drums, before Kyozo’s lyrical solo adds an infectious energy to the track’s choppy underlying rhythm. ​Smack showcases a stripped-back, dubby approach as rounded kicks blend into minimal-leaning bleeps, whilst an echoing vocal repeats “smack” to take us straight through to peak-time dancing territory.
One of contemporary house music’s most-established pairings, Prok | Fitch continue to carve out an impressive standing in the electronic music sphere. Holding Beatport’s longest ever #1 spot for their 2016 release ​Sheeple,​ the duo have released standout EPs on several of today's leading house labels, including the likes of Solid Grooves, Relief and Repopulate Mars to name a few.
