Alex Iovita – Artist Biography
I’m Alex Iovita — an electronic music producer and DJ. Since I was a kid, I’ve had a deep connection with music.
At around 5 years old, I was already blasting music from a cassette player on the third floor and singing at the top of my lungs like the whole neighborhood was my audience. Some people peeked out their windows, some smiled, others just listened. I didn’t have a stage or a mic — just my voice and this weird instinct that somehow, I’d be doing this forever.

I used to record songs from the TV using cables and a tape deck, then play them back over and over. I still remember... Andre, Holograf, Animal X, Valahia, Genius... even back then, I knew music wasn’t just sound — it was something deeper. A language. A release.

The Beginning
In 2011, I opened a music production software for the first time. I had no plan. But I had this love for music.
And that’s what eventually helped me find my path.

I taught myself everything — through mistakes, obsession, and just trying things out.

Over time, I discovered new genres... rock, punk-rock, house, trance, drum and bass — and my sound slowly shaped itself into a blend of all of them. I never cared about trends — I cared about feelings. The atmosphere. The story behind every track.

Growth & Recognition
So far, I’ve released over 100 original tracks and remixes. A lot of them have been played in DJ sets across Romania and internationally — from Europe to the United States. I’ve been featured on underground radio stations and playlists curated by people who value emotion over algorithm.

What Music Means to Me
For me, producing and DJing aren’t just hobbies or jobs. They’re therapy.
They’re my way of expressing what I can’t say out loud — of healing, releasing, and connecting.
