Closing out 𝚀𝟹 🎶🎶🎶

It was mid-July in the witch’s forest, and after a few hot and dry summers, this year’s summer was absolutely perfect, with just enough rain to make the forest lush and green and just warm enough to keep things pleasant. Hekske (the little witch), Falke (the 10-year old witch apprentice) and Lalita (the tree nymph) were just getting dressed after their daily bath in the nymph’s pond, when Bob The Owl suddenly landed on Hekske’s hand.  He had an urgent message to convey, as a visitor had just entered the forest.  Hekske instructed Bob to show their guest the way. The witches were very excited, as they only receive 1 visitor per year on average (and this was already the second visitor of the year).
One hour later, their guest finally arrived. He turned out to be an old wizard with round spectacles and long white hair. The wizard courteously lifted his high hat to greet the 3 women, incidentally showing his shiny bald head as well.
He introduced himself as Helge, the magic mathematician from the North. Hekske’s heart skipped a beat when she heard that name, because Ishola the wizard had already told many tales about this legendary professor from the venerable School of Magic.
Helge took a deep breath and smiled … he had rarely felt such a strong magic energy in a forest. The witches showed him around the woods, and he was especially interested in the badger’s sett, which they all visited (with the help of a size reduction spell). This elaborate tunnel complex consists of 8 concentric circles. After visiting the last chamber, Helge got very excited and said ‘do you realize that this sett has exactly 61 underground chambers?’. The badgers were as amazed as the witches. The professor explained that 61 is a very powerful number, and denotes a strong connection with the divine. This was particularly true, as the badger’s sett forms 8 concentric circles around the tiny oak tree which is destined to become the future mother tree of the forest ecosystem. It basically is the beating heart of the forest.
And after completing the tour of the forest, Helge was brim-full of joy when he realized that there were exactly 151 alder trees and 555 oak trees.
He explained that 151 is a  palindromic prime, a centered decagonal number, and a lucky number. 151 appears in the Padovan sequence, preceded by the terms 65, 86, 114; it is the sum of the first two of these. 151 is a unique prime in base 2, since it is the only prime with period 15 in base 2. 
And 555 is the most magic number of them all. Helge also notes that 3 women are living in this forest, which is magic. But 3 times the number 5 is infinitely more powerful. 
Hekske, Falke and Lalita were a bit overwhelmed and didn’t understand exactly what this all meant, but they made sure not to forget any of these magic numbers. And their home forest had never looked more mesmerizing than that pleasant summer day …

💭 Wir Menschen haben alle unsere Defizite und Verbesserungspotenziale. Ebenso verfügen wir alle über ein komplexes Sammelsurium an Fähigkeiten und gewinnstiftenden Eigenschaften. Meist fällt uns der Umgang mit unseren Stärken recht leicht, unsere Schwächen hingegen führen zu Herausforderungen. Sie zu meistern ist gar nicht so leicht. Oft ahnt oder weiß man bereits, woran es mangelt. Jedoch erfordert es Mut und Selbstliebe, diese Erkenntnisse auch seinen Mitmenschen zu kommunizieren. Über Probleme zu reden kostet einfach Überwindung, doch diese Mühen zahlen sich (fast) jedes Mal aus. In den meisten Fällen trifft man auf Verständnis. Denn der Mensch ist nun mal wie er ist.

🎵Heute haben wir den Weltenbummler Felio zu Gast auf KataHaifisch. Kennengelernt haben wir uns auf unserer Reise durch die traumhaften Weiten Mexikos. In einer Cenote in Tulum kam es dann zur Podcast-Verabredung. In diesem Set konserviert Felio die sengende Sonne und paradiesischen Sandstrände Südamerikas für uns. Hier trifft Leidenschaft auf Hingabe und manifestiert sich in angenehm bewegender Musik. Wir schmelzen mit den wohltuenden Klängen dahin und Gedenken der Schönheit Mexikos.

Ok, so it took me a while to upload my set which I played at Lethargy Festival two weeks ago in Zurich. It is probably the most famous and largest festival in the area. As my foot was broken, I first thought not to play there.
But finally and like a little miracle it went better three days before. So happy to have played the opener on this very hot summer day. The dance floor was empty at 1 pm, at 3pm it was crowdy and I saw happy faces all around. So I guess Aka Tony was feeling not too bad to take over the decks.

“La Dj”, a nickname given by close friends, was introduced to the art of DJing in 2005 by established musicians and DJs who noted her distinguished taste in music and understanding of musical theory, which La Dj likens to the many years she sang in National Honor Choirs in the United States and later in the National Symphonic Choir of Costa Rica.
La Dj learned to spin vinyl playing the Trance and Progressive House genres. After less than a year, La Dj began playing at several venues and events across Atlanta, Georgia, and was soon thereafter invited to join a recognized DJ crew in Atlanta, wherein she was one of the only two female DJs.
After several life-altering experiences, La Dj took an extensive hiatus from DJing. She eventually found inspiration again and returned to DJing with a different fervor birthed by years of silence in which La Dj began experimenting with Deep House, Deep Tech House, and eventually Downtempo. 
Although no longer strictly spinning vinyl, La Dj continues to mix freestyle and impromptu. Currently, La Dj is focusing on podcast recordings and playing local events and has plans to continue singing and eventually producing.
