Blur as we know it was born in 1989 when the band signed to Food/EMI. Debut album Leisure (1991) announced the arrival of a band with pop suss warped by an art-punk eccentricity. Yet Blur had more in them: namely, a revolution in the sound of English popular music. Second album Modern Life Is Rubbish reintroduced the idea that English rock music could be cool, and by the time their third album Parklife emerged in 1994, the rest of the UK had caught up. 

The Great Escape (1995) refined the sound palette of Britpop, but Blur were already moving on. 1997's Blur was an about-face - scuffed and noisy and un-English. Follow-up 13 was an even a more radical adventure in sound as William Orbit refereed a truce between organic punkpop and new-fangled technology.

Seventh album Think Tank (2003) was Blur’s first as a three piece after the temporary departure of founding guitarist Graham Coxon, featuring an eclectic variety of rhythms and textures and glorious melodies. 

In 2009 Blur reconvened as a four-piece to play a series of UK shows including two sold out dates at Hyde Park and a historic Sunday night appearance at Glastonbury. A film about Blur, No Distance Left To Run, was released in 2010.

A l'origine de Mojo Zebra, il y a cette passion commune pour la musique, la volonté de poser une ambiance, créer cette atmosphère unique et envoutante.

	 Inspiré des riffs psychédéliques des années 60, des cuivres du blue-jazz et des sonorités électroniques, Mojo Zebra délivre une acoustique planante, enivrante, mais toujours efficace. Ralliant la dextérité du jazz, le punch hérité du funk/rock, la fraicheur de la bossa et du reggae, Mojo Zebra n'est pas à rattacher à un genre, il en est une multitude, ( et c'est tant mieux ).

	 Après une formation de plusieurs années qui permettra de définir l'orientation du groupe,  Mojo Zebra voit le jour en 2012. Et quelques mois auront suffit à la composition du zèbre pour produire in utero son premier album « Homo Sapiens », sorti en Février 2013. Un album aux influences et aux tonalités variées, encensées par un groupe en perpétuelle recherche sonore, et qui se languit dans la rupture musicale, la surprise auditive.

Linking Jazz dexterity, punch inherited from Funk/Rock music and freshness from Bossa and Reggae, the band is not chained to a particuliar style but stands as a whole.

Maria Godsinger a le son perdu et traqué d’un rock lointain. C’est une expérience musicale imprégnée de l’ardeur folle des seventies, sous le haut patronage d’Hendrix, et puisant aussi ailleurs, dans la chanson française entre autre. Pourvu que ça groove, pourvu que ça chahute les corps, pourvu que ça ait du sens. Leur compositions, créant des personnages, oscillant entre les états d’âme, culminent dans la Godsinger Fever. Ce son rock, sans guitare pourtant, est né d’une voix fauve, de la chaleur d’un tuba et du jeu frénétique et implacable d’une batterie. Il est une ode à l’immédiat, au spontané, jadis vécu, aujourd’hui un peu perdu. Il est un feulement.
