Jonny is a roaming singer and guitarist who hails from the North Wales hills. Coming from a family of musicians, singers and performers, he was sent to work on the stage as soon as was legally possible.  

Since 2006 Jonny has toured all over the UK and Ireland virtually non stop. Together with his beloved acoustic guitar “Luna” he has played in venues ranging from the Edinburgh Playhouse (the Uk’s largest theatre) to various festivals, pubs, clubs, beer gardens, and community centres in villages, towns and cities throughout the country. From Inverness to Bellmullet, from London to Cork, the chances are at some point Jonny will have played a few tunes there!

His work has placed him in some unusual situations. He has performed on BBC National and local radio and television on numerous occasions. He has worked as an accompanist to a number of high profile artists.

Originally coming from a theatre background, Jonny worked as an actor for years, landing leading roles in touring musicals such as “Over The Rainbow – The Eva Cassidy Story” and the Rat Pack style musical extravaganza “Christmas Crooners”. However, Jonny has now returned to his roots as it were, and continues to do what he does best; he travels the country sharing songs with people. It is in this stripped down acoustic raw performance that his work really shines.

Fusing various musical influences and giving them his own unique twist Jonny plays a diverse set to include swing jazz standards, modern popular tunes and traditional folk music. Jonny’s soulful, warm vocal combined with astonishing guitar technique makes his set a truly memorable experience.

For the past 10 years I have been performing lounge music (a mere sample of which can be found in these songs) at corporate functions, weddings, birthdays/anniversaries and other events.  I am available to hire for any of these occasions and I aim to make that special occasion just a little more memorable.
