Joined by a new guest every week, Jaeger Mix will feature some of the best, established and nascent talents from an international club community, for an exclusive mix that will put a unique spin on our Sunday evenings.
Jæger Mix is about the seamless transitions and how that connection extends beyond the music and the DJ to the people on the floor, with the focus on downtempo, progressive and deep; and it’s various interpretations. We extend the connection even further into the digital realm each week, giving mixes the opportunity to live outside the here and now, with every recorded session available afterwards for you to re-live the experience or just to meander into a new musical personality through a selection of records.

Oslo’s nightlife is currently a hive of activity. DJs, club spaces and concepts are cropping up in what seems to be on an almost weekly basis. It’s bringing a lot of new music and new approaches to the dance floor, in a post-pandemic era where a whole generation was robbed of the dance floor for two years. In that period they’ve had to recontextualise the dance floor, the DJ and even the club as they started going out again and as they went from the dance floor to the DJ booth, they breathed new life into the scene.

Hetty and J. André are two figures at the heart of this new wave. Hardly novices, both have been active DJs since their teens, and they were one of the first to repopulate the dance floor after the pandemic. There hasn’t been a week at Jaeger where I haven’t seen either Truls Hetty and/or Jørgen André on the guestlist at Jaeger and when they are not on the dance floor they are in a DJ booth somewhere in the city.

One of those DJ booths has been Jaeger’s sauna on a Sunday. Hetty and J. Andrés’ Moving Heads has been settling into our weekly residencies for the summer season and with that we’ve asked them to join our Jaeger Mix alumni for a session. The DJ duo parlay some of that Sunday summer vibes over the course of two hours with a focus on the 90’s era of House music, “clearly reflect(ing)” the sound of Moving Heads. Frenzied percussion, bouncing bass-lines and spirituous textures culminate in this dance-floor focussed mix.

Bergen artist and DJ House on Sale comes to the Jaeger mix, and we’re definitely buying what he’s selling. Rooted in House music, but clearly expansive in his definition of the genre, House on Sale’s mix permeates with soulful and organic sounds as he travels from Disco to Deep House across 2 hours.

House on sale is a rising star on Bergen’s House music scene, and his night, Disco Paradiso and regular appearances in the city’s DJ booths have made fixture. For his first visit to Oslo, he takes on the Jaeger mix with effortless charm, channelling his sound into 2 hours during his session.

After the success of her sophomore LP Dance Therapy, Ora The Molecule has been a name on everybody’s lips. Ora (Nora Schelderup) has been a sought after live performer and DJ, travelling the world from her home base just outside of Oslo. From NRK to Beats in Space, she’s been making an impact globally with her unique space-aged Disco sound.

Dance Therapy followed Human Safari underpinning a sound taken from Italo Disco and Norway’s Space Disco scene, where together with stars like Todd Terje and Prins Thomas, Ora the Molecule now makes up the firmament. Her musical journey travels through space and time touches on distant worlds where nostalgia and her distinct pop sensibilities form the fabric of an indelible sound. 

An acclaimed artist and performer, Ora The Molecule is also an adept DJ, and after a move back to Norway, she’s been a regular fixture in DJ booths across town. Tying that red thread between her own music and the music filling her record bag, she took on the Jaeger Mix with her usually Disco charm.

From Lindstrøm to Hannes Bieger, she charted an intergalactic 2 hour journey from our sauna. Recorded during the last of the hazy summer days this year, it leaves with a bounce in our step and a song in our ear as we listen back to her mix today. We touch down in Ora’s world to grab a few quotes from the artist and DJ as she continues to chart a trajectory to the stars.

Founded in 2020 Future Avenue is an electronic music imprint which operates under the Sound Avenue umbrella. Sitting alongside fellow subdivisions 3rd Avenue and Crossfade Sounds, Future Avenue looks to provide a home for new and rising talent. With an ethos centred around progressive music and its surrounding derivatives, the label is a platform which gives up and coming artists a chance to showcase their music alongside established veterans as they carve out their own musical identity.

I was so overwhelmed by the reaction of the audience, just fantastic. Thanks to everybody, who was there, danced and shared these moments. Thanks to Bucuresti Underground to give me the possibility to share it again with you I hope this one feeds your memory again with all the love and peace we all felt at Waha. 

As you can hear my performance has some quite controversial moments like in the beginning, a recording I did on a protest march in Berlin, a moment, when the situation was escalating nearly. I mean we should not take love and peace for granted or democracy or life at all. We sometimes have to fight for our ideals and values, for equal rights, for freedom, for tolerance, for others or for nature and definitely we have to fight against fascism, racism, oppression, exploitation and so on. This all is very important for me and this is also a part of my music. Waha 2019 was such a great experience for me. I received so much love and all you gave me so much motivation to continue what I do. Thanks you very much!

The Jaeger Mix is Oslo’s monthly ritual for deep listening and dance floor exploration, a midweek club night that doubles as a living archive of the city’s underground.
Taking place on select Wednesdays, the series pairs Jaeger resident Ivaylo with a rotating cast of DJs, producers, and live acts, capturing the sound of the night and preserving it as part of Jaeger’s ongoing story.
Each session is recorded in the club, followed by an interview with the guest, and later published as a feature on jaegeroslo.no - In this way, the Jaeger Mix lives beyond the dance floor — a document of Oslo’s electronic music culture, framed both in sound and in words.
Guiding the series is Ivaylo, a Bulgarian-born, Oslo-based DJ, producer, and curator. A long-standing Jaeger resident, label manager for Full Pupp, and founder of Lab Cleaning Jams, he has spent decades shaping Nordic club culture with his deep, soulful, and uncompromising approach to house and techno. His role in the Jaeger Mix is less about the spotlight and more about curation — weaving his own sets together with those of guests to tell the evolving story of the dance floor.
The Jaeger Mix stands as both a celebration of the present and a chronicle for the future, mapping Oslo’s nightlife one night, one mix, and one conversation at a time.
