A fulcrum point to the weekend, Jæger Mix offers the dancer a resolute conclusion, or a brand new start – depending on your perspective – with resident Ivaylo, programming the two-hour journey into the deepest echelons of club music. Joined by a new guest every week, Jaeger Mix will feature some of the best, established and nascent talents from an international club community, for an exclusive mix that will put a unique spin on our Sunday evenings.
Jæger Mix is about the seamless transitions and how that connection extends beyond the music and the DJ to the people on the floor, with the focus on downtempo, progressive and deep; and it’s various interpretations. We extend the connection even further into the digital realm each week, giving mixes the opportunity to live outside the here and now, with every recorded session available afterwards for you to re-live the experience or just to meander into a new musical personality through a selection of records.

We've got a special selector playing her Blitz debut upcoming Saturday, the 4th of May: Ceri! And we're happy to have her contributing an hour of music to our Blitzcast series ahead of her performance, too.

Her journey into the world of dance music was ignited by legendary venues like Fabric, Plastic People, and Ibiza’s DC-10 – rites of passage for many UK dance music fans! Now, armed with a wealth of experience and as the label head of Find Your Own Records she’s a marathon-set seasoned selector, focusing on deep house and drawing inspiration from timeless Chicago and Detroit sounds, as well as dubbed-out soundscapes and the grooves of UK-Garage.

Ceri had a few words on the mix, too!

> I recorded this mix on a rainy day in Ibiza, so it has some darker, raw and moodier elements, with many tracks having a minor key, plus of course some happier and housier, with some vocal numbers too, to lift those spirits. Most of the tracks are old from the 80's and 90's which is my favourite period for proper House and Techno.

I hope it captures the sounds of Germany, the UK, Chicago, and Detroit, which are all where all my biggest musical inspirations and love for music comes from. One track is currently going for over €100 on discogs, another is the bargain price of €0.55 and just as good (if not better!), some are unreleased, a few are new, one track I got someone to bring all the way from the USA for me, and in my opinion, all are timeless, which is what I love. I only play music that touches my soul in some way... 

I am very happy and honoured to be playing Blitz Club, a place with such a revered music policy, great line ups, and a no camera rule, which always makes the best nights for me. 

When there are no phones on the dancefloor, the crowd are always so much more open and up for it, because they are there for the music first. I always feel like I let loose even more when I am in places like this too, I feel more comfortable to dance like crazy, sweat, and experiment more. I am really looking forward to seeing what happens on Saturday... I don't know what will happen yet because I have to feel the energy on the night to know where to go. And I am sure we will go on a beautiful journey together.

Blitzcast 019 : Ceri

It is day four of our special colab week with the House meets Techno label SEVEN and we are super, super excited about this set from Shaleen because it is her House music debut! Yes, she went digging for classic House vinyl, spent weeks in the studio and is super excited to share this new facet of her musical journey with us.

Shaleen is well known in techno circles for her vinyl-only sets, combining her love for analog sounds with her deep passion for music. Her style blends the nostalgic elements of the 90s with modern influences, creating a unique and personal sound. You will see this also through her House set which we absolutely loved.

Mix Series 436: Shaleen plays House

Ronya is part of the next generation of DJs setting Oslo’s dance floors alight. A regular fixture amongst the Det Gode Selskab collective and beyond, these past few years, she’s staked a claim in the minimal landscape of the city’s House and Techno universe. 

She arrives at the Jaeger Mix pursuing the sound we have come to recognise from the DJ. With sonic aesthetics that err on the side of the stark, and styles that reach far beyond the archetypal, there’s no one distinction that sets this mix apart, but the sound remains consistent. 

Whether breaking up the conformity of a beat or importing elements from divergent genres, Ronya‘s musical trajectory follows like a dialogue with the dance floor. It keeps everything grounded in the rhythm – possibly indicative of Ronya’s drumming roots – but it allows for expression beyond the functional.

@suchablurrr are a duo (the first in our series!) with a wide-ranging taste in tracks. Their sets pull from a blend of foundational influences: drum & bass, house, oldschool acid techno and electro. 

This mix provides a high dose of acid techno. Based mainly on 90s gems it’s a nod to the roots of the psy-offshoots we’re enjoying and replicating today. Such a blurrr blur the past, present, and future with this extra-psychedelic set. 

Such a blurrr are busy with gigs and can mainly be spotted around Düsseldorf and Bielefeld. The soonest-approaching dates to catch them live are:

Bergen artist and DJ House on Sale comes to the Jaeger mix, and we’re definitely buying what he’s selling. Rooted in House music, but clearly expansive in his definition of the genre, House on Sale’s mix permeates with soulful and organic sounds as he travels from Disco to Deep House across 2 hours.

House on sale is a rising star on Bergen’s House music scene, and his night, Disco Paradiso and regular appearances in the city’s DJ booths have made fixture. For his first visit to Oslo, he takes on the Jaeger mix with effortless charm, channelling his sound into 2 hours during his session.

Fresh off producing a seminal documentary about the origin story of Portuguese rave culture, @shcuro returns to his mother tongue, music, to give us four slices of fresh yet classic Lisbon underground flavour right as the summer sets in. ‘Echo Chamber’ EP, Paraíso’s 17th outing, comes with two equally excellent remixes separated by the atlantic: Brooklyn’s @moma_ready and Berlin’s @mareenaofficial.
Side A starts with two tracks first blueprinted this past year as Shcuro prepared a new live set. ‘No Expectations’ opens the record with a high-paced sweat-breaker that elegantly evokes early rave culture as stabs, funk and feelings abound. A2 ‘Persistence’ follows suit with the work that exudes proficiency: sound design, dub techno learnings and masterful layering all conspire to create a moment of pure techno draw. Closing side A, ‘Deviation’ pulls some of the previous track’s energy even though it’s a rework from the artist’s earlier unreleased catalogue: another sign that we’re talking realness here. Clever percussion and refreshing washes drive us well into dubby territories.
‘Suspension’ opens the B side, picking up where it left off with the last original: a beautifully produced piece with fleeting mutating stabs that seem to swim alongside us in an imaginary oceanic dancefloor. Liquid, refreshing senso- rial motifs seem to underpin this record and that spirit spills into the remix pack, starting off with MoMA Ready’s take on ‘Persistence’, bringing out the rawness in the original while adding a special sauce with Robert Hood-like funky yet minimalistic bleep work. Tresor’s Mareena steps in for a centered, dancefloor-geared - but still mysterious - twist on ‘Deviation’, perfectly rounding up the record with the expertise of a club resident.

B3 - Shcuro - Deviation (Mareena Remix)

After the success of her sophomore LP Dance Therapy, Ora The Molecule has been a name on everybody’s lips. Ora (Nora Schelderup) has been a sought after live performer and DJ, travelling the world from her home base just outside of Oslo. From NRK to Beats in Space, she’s been making an impact globally with her unique space-aged Disco sound.

Dance Therapy followed Human Safari underpinning a sound taken from Italo Disco and Norway’s Space Disco scene, where together with stars like Todd Terje and Prins Thomas, Ora the Molecule now makes up the firmament. Her musical journey travels through space and time touches on distant worlds where nostalgia and her distinct pop sensibilities form the fabric of an indelible sound. 

An acclaimed artist and performer, Ora The Molecule is also an adept DJ, and after a move back to Norway, she’s been a regular fixture in DJ booths across town. Tying that red thread between her own music and the music filling her record bag, she took on the Jaeger Mix with her usually Disco charm.

From Lindstrøm to Hannes Bieger, she charted an intergalactic 2 hour journey from our sauna. Recorded during the last of the hazy summer days this year, it leaves with a bounce in our step and a song in our ear as we listen back to her mix today. We touch down in Ora’s world to grab a few quotes from the artist and DJ as she continues to chart a trajectory to the stars.

The Jaeger Mix is Oslo’s monthly ritual for deep listening and dance floor exploration, a midweek club night that doubles as a living archive of the city’s underground.
Taking place on select Wednesdays, the series pairs Jaeger resident Ivaylo with a rotating cast of DJs, producers, and live acts, capturing the sound of the night and preserving it as part of Jaeger’s ongoing story.
Each session is recorded in the club, followed by an interview with the guest, and later published as a feature on jaegeroslo.no - In this way, the Jaeger Mix lives beyond the dance floor — a document of Oslo’s electronic music culture, framed both in sound and in words.
Guiding the series is Ivaylo, a Bulgarian-born, Oslo-based DJ, producer, and curator. A long-standing Jaeger resident, label manager for Full Pupp, and founder of Lab Cleaning Jams, he has spent decades shaping Nordic club culture with his deep, soulful, and uncompromising approach to house and techno. His role in the Jaeger Mix is less about the spotlight and more about curation — weaving his own sets together with those of guests to tell the evolving story of the dance floor.
The Jaeger Mix stands as both a celebration of the present and a chronicle for the future, mapping Oslo’s nightlife one night, one mix, and one conversation at a time.
