Musician/ Drummer Mariana Sanchez appeared in Sao Paulo's music scene first when she was 15 years old. At Conservatorio Souza Lima, she started taking studies seriously and took classes with great Brazilian musicians such as: Vitor Alcantara, Nenê, Sizao Machado, Bob Wyatt, among others. She was accepted at Berklee College of Music where she studied with Terri Lynn Carrington, Ralph Peterson, Joe Hunt, Yoron Israel and Casey Scheuerell. Mariana performed alongside Steve Smith at Berklee Performance Center and with other groups around Boston and New York area. She curently lives in Sao Paulo, where she teaches and perform with different groups.

A baterista Mariana Sanchez surgiu na cena musical aos 15 anos e foi no Conservatório Souza Lima que começou a levar os estudos realmete a sério. Logo depois, foi aluna da Faculdade Souza Lima, onde estudou com: Vitor Alcântara, Nenê, Sizão Machado, Bob Wyatt, entre outros. Foi aceita na Berklee College of Music, onde teve a oportunidade de estudar com grandes nomes do jazz mundial como: Terri Lynn Carrington, Ralph Peterson e Joe Hunt. Mariana se apresentou ao lado do baterista Steve Smith no palco do Berklee Performance Center. Nos Estados Unidos teve a oportunidade de tocar com diversos grupos pela região de Boston e Nova York. Atualmente vive em São Paulo onde dá aulas e participa da cena musical local.

I have attended to Berklee College of Music in Boston, and majored in Performance, I play about 15+ instruments, proficiency in Jazz piano, saxophone, flute, and bass. I am specialized in Jazz music from the 10's, 20's 30's, 40's, 50's and 60's. With a repertoire of over 900+ songs.

Pianist, Composer, Educator. Born in Portland, OR, studied at Berklee in Boston, MA, and lived in Tokyo, Japan for over two years before moving to NYC.
