Armored Core 4 OST-Chapter 4

Taken from Kostas Maskalides’ ninth studio album Soundscapes, Elegy for a Dying Sun blends ambient textures with subtle experimental layers, creating an atmosphere that feels both immersive and deeply emotional.

Carefully sculpted sound design and expressive detail invite listeners into a world where calmness meets intensity, harmony flows into chaos, and every note carries meaning.

Elegy for a Dying Sun

Getting there, albeit slowly. The title track for orbits, which is inspired by a line from the fantastic Samantha Harvey novel Orbital (if you haven't read it, do so). A few more tracks in the works, and some other ideas starting to coalesce. The idea of releasing an actual album is odd to me, despite being something I've wanted to do since I was about 15.

That moment when the journey takes you far away and the bad thoughts fade away ,the lights have
gone out and the screen has darkened.... romantic,melancholy inspirational melodies rich in feeling
strings fill the spaces and become important,often with the presence of a repetitive piano..... a
journey rich in atmosphere and the voice takes center stage.
