This is the second recording of a Pure Data patch that I've made. This time a little bit faster and to the face, than the first version, but still written with love :) 

It is all recorded in one file, like the previous recording, hence the slightly chaotic soundscape, no post editing of individual stems of any kind. 

This version has been mastered slightly, to make it sound a little bit more tight.

I used a pretty similar process with this piece as with the last one. It's made of a drone, a 6-beat bass cycle, and two intertwining 7-beat melody cycles, resulting in an unevenly repeating melodic phrase.

Each part except for the drone was double-tracked with independent live automation done by hand on each take, recorded in real-time using a Dreadbox Erebus running through the additional filter and FX section of a Dreadbox Typhon.

An additional foresty field recording was added underneath everything mixed very quietly, and I decided to use a few instances of EchoBoy on each of the melodic phrases with some automation to add a little more movement and depth.
