A Song For Dreamers

Something about this song shakes my soul. This is emotional, but strong. Refined, but tribal. Raw, definitely raw.

I imagine the lone wayfarer coming to the end of his (or her) bitter journey. Having loved and lost, having sunk to the lowest of lows, the wayfarer returns to a simpler time--that hopeful place far and away from here. 

Brand new Australian singer-songwriter-producer Oliver Hugh Perry debuts his eponymous EP, D.D Dumbo EP, this November 12. I know Tropical Oceans was released a week and a half ago, but if this song is any indication of this guy's talent, I cannot wait for this EP. 

D.D Dumbo has a perfect blend of garage rock edge and indie folk sensibility. It's like Bon Iver and The Black Keys--my two favorite bands--had a baby over in Australia. 

I have a feeling I'm going to be seeing a lot more D.D Dumbo. Don't sleep on this one!
