Here's a collection of all the podcasts we've done to date for those we love, those we know and those we respect. Each mix is quite different so tell the nurse to cancel your appointments because your belly isn't going to stop wobbling for some time.

Jagger and the Bat Podcasts

Despite a flurry of technical issues this mix lives on. It was recorded in the Apartment of Sin and we were honoured to have it air on Matt Pond's fantastic MHYH Deepsystems radio show on 16/09/2013. Sadly the archive from the live show was lost forever because the signal kept dropping but here is our hour as it was recorded on that emotional dusty September weekend.

The mix is rough round the edges but warm on the inside, like a McDonalds apple bake. It was hustled together over one long weekend as me and Kris got back to grips with playing music together after a summer of moving out, tears and limited record purchases. Whilst it may not be our smoothest mix it has already found a place in our hearts and hopefully you'll hold it close to your chest and whisper to it gently. It may also be one of the most honest representations of Jagger and the Bat early doors at Arthouse where we try to lull you onto the dancefloor with tender loving care.

Jagger and the Bat - Deepsystems Radio Show Guest Mix

This is a mix we did for a Berlin radio show but it never made it to the air so about 8 months later we thought fuck it and have decided to upload it.

It's got more purpose and techno than any of our previous mixes not to mention enough balloon tunes to send you into the stratosphere. So grab yourself a towel, some canisters, your favourite dispenser and get ready to buzz.

Another magical weekend at Springkell in Scotland (In November 2022 )with a great bunch of heads. So many talented artists were present and blew me away with their music and selections. This set was played in warmup territory at 6:30pm  on day 2 with x2 Technics and with a nice buzz in the room.

Jagger and the Bat - A Token Goodbye

a morning meeting that had the texture of something very familiar, meant for all and shaped together.

"The joy and thrill of having unrestricted creative space, setting and curating a festival stage, shaping its aesthetic, and amplifying the sound through our handcrafted soundsystem was an experience to cherish.

As we stepped up to play, Alfonso had already set the tone since sunrise, guiding the crowd with deep, dubby, and minimal sounds. By the time he passed us the decks, the audience was fully immersed in this hypnotic, mellow and groove-driven atmosphere, ready to carry on.

Playing on our soundsystem, on a stage we had envisioned and built from the ground up, was a truly special moment, both the fruition of a dream and the start of something more."

On April 22nd, Mostra took over Espacio Perpendicular for a few hours.

Mostra is an independent, small-scale festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music that was born four years ago to nurture the Barcelona scene. Mostra is local, inclusive, and sustainable. An independent festival made in Barcelona for Barcelonans, but with international vision and reach.

The event, which took place during the day, featured performances by Mattikk, Emilia Grima, Pillen, Doozer, Haara, and F-on.

London’s Basic Chanel conjures a liquid mist for the latest entry in our series. Chanel’s work documenting the scene through Untitled 909 and her numerous other endeavors - including the Draaimolen podcast and a residency on Refuge Worldwide - will surely be known to many, yet discovering her distinct voice as a DJ and the warm personality behind it all was a revelation even still. Chanel distills her boundless passion for full-spectrum psychedelia into this enchanting mix, which paints verdant and hypnotic hues while maintaining an effortless sense of buoyancy throughout. This recording is from the first edition of L’Appuntamento, a series of open-air listening sessions initiated by Villa Lontana Records and Donato Dozzy in Rome. Each gathering pairs a vinyl set by Dozzy with a live electroacoustic performance by a new-generation artist.

In this first edition, held in the garden of Villa Lontana, Donato Dozzy opened the evening with a selection of minimal, folkloric, and acoustic-rooted records — setting the tone for Verde Prato’s live performance.

L’Appuntamento is an ongoing invitation to pause, tune in, and share time through listening. 
Next appointment is Thursday 26 June 2025 with Ange Halliwell.

This is not your usual Jagger and the Bat tackle. Deep and sinister with a casual edge. Music for the people, by the people. A devilish dance with the whims of chance. Essentially it's just sex music.

Here's a mix we recorded especially for Jane Fitz and her amazing DirtySounds Session radio show that goes out on myhouseyourhouse.net every Monday night from 10pm. The mix was aired on 11/02/2013 and was recorded live around November...we think. 

It was made for the radio with love and rest assured no vinyl was inappropriately touched during the recording, not in a sexual way anyway. We mixed it not long after another show we did for Greta Cottage and wanted to make sure it didn't sound the same. So Kris and I dug out some house bombs, slammed a couple of espressos, dropped a Walt J record right at the beginning and went from there.

We recommend listening to it between the hours 10 and 11 at night, preferably on a Monday, but failing that brew up some fair trade coffee and let the sex music take hold.
