Manchester independent Dark Red Records brings it's 4th instalment in the form of a multi-artist EP from Ego-Free Sequences, rising new French talent Sqimer (also on mastering duties for this release) and label regular Darsk, all coming together to provide a satisfyingly varied selection of dark, meditative Drum & Bass and Jungle tracks which meld together classic breaks and editing with a distinctly modern and experimental approach, all finished in a wholly organic and listenable style. 

Jah-Tek presents track 3 'Alchemy' from Darsk. A truly mediative piece, that hypnotically pulsates intricate tribal percussion and bass, whilst atmospherically evolving into dark spaces and foreboding tonality.

SerpentEyes is based out of Huntsville, AL, and has been producing since 2017 when he moved back home to the state after spending a couple years in California. His time with friends there helped shape his tastes for electronic and dance music. Starting with more aggressive tastes in Dubstep & Trap, but eventually moving into the UK 140 style of Dubstep and rekindling a love for Drum & Bass along with new passions such as Reggae/Dub and Breaks. 

For New Years Eve 2022 heading into 2023, SerpentEyes dropped his Debut Album Change of Heart out on the Label he curates & manages for The Widdler, WiddFam. 
His time in Widdler's community has helped him grow as a producer alongside his talented staff at the label. The Album features Jungle, Drum & Bass, Dub, Dubstep, Psychedelia, and Eastern Instrumentation.

Recent accolades include releasing on DDD, NOIZION, Elemental Arts, LDH Records and featuring guest mixes on DDD, Mode.London, Internet Public Radio, TruSik, as well as a 5 year stint on Sub.FM. With a signature dark & gritty vibe, but not afraid to delve into dubwise & melodic tracks, SerpentEyes always has the dancefloor slIthering.

Causing mischief in every form possible, Grimmlin searches high and low for sounds forgotten and unheard. Weaving his way through crunchy snares, soul-sucking subs, and all the dark mutations present in dnb, it makes for a deep and intense journey that is as alien as it is familiar.
