Soul Roach City is an atmospheric roller, melding swampy, industrial laced techno together with weighty sub bass.

Sadistic and clean cut, “Severe Punishment” comes through on the flip side with a sharp, high energy, staggered cadence, riddled with horror samples.

For the second release of the year, Egregore welcomes Paris-based Jumboclat, a member of SeekSickSound and Exploration Music (RIP).

Author of a first solo release on Flore’s POLAAR imprint and producing the acclaimed ‘Tell Me’ released on Vernacular Records, he is also well versed in footwork, as demonstrated by his tunes on Le French Work.

His ‘Cloverleaf EP’ is a concentrate of everything he does best : from the emotional and deep 2-step ‘B With U’ to the razor sharp breakbeats of ‘Timeslip’, the production is meticulous, deep and melancholic, an ode to the caribbean sounds and cultures blended with futuristic sound design. To round off the EP, Stacktrace delivers a psychedelic and oppressive dub remix of the title track. 

Premiering now on Jah-Tek - 'Cloverleaf Dub', a throwback to the old 2-step / garage precursor days of Dubstep. Where the sound was beginning to be bridged, leading way to a more stipped back sub focussed concept. Eerie minimalist atmospheric stabs and sub rich textures, packaged around that classic 2 step sway,  large up Jumboclat on this one!

The 2nd in the dubplate series comes from a trio of heavyweight Russian producers. Spearheaded by the notorious grime producer and UNITED label head, Moscow Legend, with collaborations from Ninety and Gunam for a double tracker of high energy mutant grime.

Wig Split is a deranged take on the grime imprint, leading with coordinated, frantic drumwork, and pulling back into big sub-heavy dubstep halftimes. This one is packed full of bassweight and lethal energy, playing off the strengths of both Moscow Legend and Ninety.

Moscow Legend and Gunam join grime and electro on the flip, Untitled, with classic grime 808 bass hits and cutting snares layered onto basslines and grooves akin to the tracks coming out of the ever-growing Russian electro scene.

Cosmic Bridge's club focused 'Earthbase Series' continues with 'Nocturnal' the new release from Russian producer A.Fruit. Four tracks that fuse Footwork, Drum'n'Bass, Techno and bold sound design into the 160 BPM framework. After a heavy hitting set of releases via Russian imprint Hyperboloid, Irish modern trendsetters Rua Sound, and the ever vigilant Med School, so please welcome A.Fruit to the Cosmic Bridge roster. 

Label boss Om Unit says: "Anna has a rare ear in this 160bpm world; one foot firmly in the techier sound-design lane, and one in the world of fun dance floor sounds. Well mixed, and not too serious! It's great to have her on board and we look forward to sharing a stage soon!" 

Kicking things off is 'Make Them Shake’, a hypnotic and contorted expression of footwork with bubbling bass and drum FX - only for the boldest of dancers. ‘Polykarp’ comes complete with rugged old school hardcore chops twisted into a technoid stepper.  'Deep Insight’, is reminiscent of early Moving Shadow Jungle; hypnotic & minimalist with tight drums, glitches and jazzy late night moments. Closing track ’Before You Go’ is a breaks filled, garage-footwork workout; cheeky vocal cuts and rolling syncopated rhythms for your waistline!

Yoofee sent me "Arrival" shortly after the release of his "Visualize EP" on TTE and i played it in nearly all my DJ sets. The first drop hits you directly after the intro and can be a bit tricky in the mix but who said DJing should be easy? Of course Yoofee is always developing his production standards and therefore he was a bit shocked that i had to play the tune at this quality the whole time. ;) He polished it into a 110% better VIP version after i signed it for the compilation and i am sure you'll agree that it is one of his best works yet!
