Jai Jemini is an independent genre-bending artist from North Carolina whose music blends raw lyricism, soulful melodies, and cinematic storytelling. Raised in church and introduced to music through gospel, she began singing at age 6 alongside the iconic Barnes Family. Her artistry is deeply rooted in the power of words, pulling inspiration from legends like Erykah Badu, Kanye West, and Lauryn Hill—artists her father introduced her to, whose music helped her navigate life’s most difficult chapters.

Jai's breakout single "Blessings" has now garnered over 2 million views and she is in preparation for an upcoming mixtape and perfomances.

Jai writes all of her own songs and brings a chameleon-like creativity to every project—shifting sounds, visuals, and personas with each release. From conscious rap to club bangers to sensual R&B, her voice is a vessel for both vulnerability and empowerment. Her single "Letter to Self"—originally a poem from her debut novel The Caged Bird is Missing—explores the pain of self-hatred and the healing journey toward self-love.

After years of sitting on unreleased music, Jai released her first album just two days before her father passed from cancer—an act of courage and tribute to the man who always believed in her.
