ILL ZOOOLOGY is a multi-dimensional concept not limited to merging Nature with Hip Hop via an audio medium that encourages listeners to use their imaginations to visually interpret the experiences, much as they would reading a book.
ILL ZOOOLOGY in whatever form is what the ILL ZOOOLOGYST does; hence his titillatingly titular self reference.
He has released not a single lp so far but is working on several at once, such as "Birdsongs" more or less about birds, "On Dogs" more or less about dogs, "Nature of The Beastiary" which is comprised exclusively of story songs with some kind of moral or lesson, "Zooomorphic" which is about people with animal attributes, "Play On Words" which is idiom &amp; lyrical/pun--focused, "Totem Flows" about animal omens &amp; medicine, "Biome Raps" an EP covering all of earth's major biomes w/ a song dedicated to each,"Bear Tracks" which covers bear subjects and species &amp; finally "The Cat Compilation" specifically dedicated to felines. Rumor has it that there are more thematic projects as well that have yet to be mentioned...
Eyevan Tumbleweed, a.k.a. ILL ZOO considers himself a naturalist and animal lover meaning not only is he an animal in bed, but is rather fond of fauna &amp; flora, too. He hasn't mentioned if he is an animist or not but either way, he urges the hip hop community to close the gap between urban and wildlife environments. According to him, it is an axiom that nature offers many insights and ought to be appreciated by a society that is on many levels experiencing it's slow disappearance as result of human dominion. Eyevan thinks city folk are really, in many ways, missing out. Much of The Ill Zooologyst's work is tongue and cheek but equally as much of it is serious and/or meant to be educational. Be on the look for multible cosmic LP drops post 2012 from the manimal, himself!!!!
