Since a lot of people have been asking for a live recording of my set from Hardcore Synergy 2014 @ ACen but one doesn't seem to have surfaced, I decided to go to the effort of re-creating my set from the night in the studio. The track order is identical, and the cue points and transitions are as close as I could remember, except probably tighter. If you can find a huge hotel ballroom and 1000 or so high-spirited anime ravers to fill it, you pretty much have the exact same thing.

As you hear me point out quite early in this set, I'm not really a chiptune artist by any stretch, so I felt somewhat like the elephant in the room for this event amongst such greats as Chipzel and Polaria Poyon.

Despite that, James "CalmDownKidder" didn't care too much about this and was still keen to have me onboard for the third online iteration of his long-running Chipfest event (and it really is long running - I went to Chipfest 6 to see Bokusatsu Shoujo Koubou and CoLD SToRAGE in a tiny underground pub in Liverpool back in 2011 and it was fantastic).

Not wanting to be too disruptive to the general vibe, I decided to pick out a selection of some of the most banging chiptune cuts I know, along with a few tracks that either sample video games or feature a faux-bit motif as the focal point of the track.

Overwhelming bouts of imposter syndrome aside, everyone in the chat was super welcoming, the other artists smashed it, and we raised a ton of money for charity, so that was nice.
