HYPE:RATIO - FOREST PARTY MUSIC

"Psytrance is like a good pizza, it's all about the cheese to bass ratio..."

After establishing themselves in psychedelic music scene in Victoria, Australia through their solo projects Aztechnology and Deltoid Curve. They came together and worked tirelessly to create some more powerful forest party music.

The productions are a mixture of powerful rhythms with a deep exploration in to the myriad of psychedelic sounds and mystery that lay in the forest. Contrasted by funky melodies and a light hearted approach to keep the positive party energy flowing!

They use a combination of DJing and live psytrance performance to not only play their own productions, but also live remix other producers tracks to give it their own flavour. Their high-energy performances are not to be missed!

A recording from Hype:Ratio's debut live set on the Ananda 7 renegade is available here. This captured a very special performance played on a stage put together by incredibly talented and tenacious souls that refused to stop partying.

The recording includes 4 tracks from the up coming Hype Cycle EP performed live! The full release will be available on Neptunium Records in November for FREE!

Jimmi-Woods is an Australian, Melbourne based producer. An experimental electronic musician whom could be considered a genre crosser. A big fan of progressive music, he underpins his sounds with tech infused grooves. Pushing the envelope in every production he continuously thinks outside the square and most importantly allows the music to develop where it needs to grow.

James started out as an avid drummer and percussionist, playing in many bands over the years, in particular the funk fused band Soul Trip. As a man who loves his groove, band or no band, he entered the realm of music production learning his craft with the very experimental Shifty Gypsies and then took it up a notch with the Psy Tech invoked Stepping Inwards. He is constantly learning and evolving his sound.
Jimmi-Woods released his first album 'Into The Outside' with 'Slice Records' in 2018. Check out this unique underground label in the link section below.
