A guaranteed floor-filler, 'Superfly' demonstrates Grönlund's keen sensibility and artistry as both a DJ and producer to seamlessly bring together the old-school tech-house and classic, soulful disco sounds. Driven by chunky percussive beats and a languid but groovy bassline, the track is chock-full of carefully curated elements that will lift spirits and hands, not least a vocal hook that is as feelgood and uplifting as they come.

Filip Grönlund's musical journey started at home in Stockholm, Sweden. The son of classical musicians, Grönlund grew up listening to his mother's disco records and was mesmerised by the soulful vocals of the disco divas of the 70's and 80's. His love for soul, funk and disco music led to him discovering house music during the late 90's and early 00's, and eventually becoming a DJ. Inspired by producers such as Mark Knight, Paul Woolford and Marc Kinchen, and with a good sense for what works on the dancefloor, Grönlund produces tracks that steer in the direction of house, deep house and tech house, with an unmistakable predisposition towards the original school. His productions are characterised by driving beats, thoughtful melodies and soulful elements that harken back to a time when disco reigned supreme.

Based in London town and with a serious history in everything dance music, you’d be hard pushed to find someone more passionate about electronic sounds than Jake Cusack. With an involvement in the scene lasting over two and half decades, he has built inimitable experience and know-how that he continues to grow and learn from. From the humble days of DJing at the age of 14, to cutting dub plates in the music house on the Holloway Road to play in his evening sets, he has experienced the underground side of dance music and watched it flourish into the huge industry we know and love today.

Specialising in a unique brand of Deep and Tech House, Cusack’s sounds have garnered him support from all corners of the genre’s fan base. Originally from Wales, but living in London for twenty plus years, he moved to become closer to the sounds that he adored, finding himself releases and shows all over the world, connecting with 12inch Thumpers and Fresh DJ Agency he found himself playing at legendary shows such as Sundissentail & God Kitchen, and playing to crowds from Kings Cross to Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. Influenced by artists such as Tony De Vit and Tall Paul, his releases were unleashed to critical acclaim.
