The Skunks are a three piece funk rock band created at The University of Hartford CT. With two albums recorded live in the studio, the band channels their energy into a structured performance.
John E Funk was a lost Skunk roaming the grounds without a sound. All of a sudden he heard mama Skunk thumping bass out of the bushes and baby Skunk wailing a spray on the drums. The three channeled their collective stank into jams and scurried off into the night. With influences including The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Arctic Monkeys, the trio writes songs by mixing elements of jams and riffs into a rising cloud of stinky groove. 
After winning the battle of the bands at The University of Hartford the boys got to open for Reel Big Fish and Bad Rabbits in spring 2013. Currently performing at house shows and bars across New England, The Skunks are putting together new nasty odors for a third album.
