I wrote this song about one of my best friends. It's hard to watch people you love struggle from time-to-time and I just always want to remind the people I care about that they are perfect with all of their flaws.

I have been in a courtship with creative writing since i was a kid. I was a young boy in a small town, discovering who I was and wearing my heart on my sleeve like any romantic daydreamer who grew up on Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey. I wrote stories of kids living out their dreams and young adults falling in love hoping I could one day be the name in those stories.



Through the craziness of, well... life, I found myself writing less and less. But during 2020, while going through a debilitating global pandemic and a (melodramatic in comparison) heartbreak, I started to re-explore my lost passion for writing: but now in a new way. Why not take all the words that my brain conjures up and layer them into harmonies and put a soundscape under it?



And so, here I am. My name's Jake Evan and I am a lover of romance, words, feelings, and everything else that makes your mind and your heart flutter and tick. I hope you enjoy my music.
