the more we grip, the more we’re losing
the truth slips by, just out of view

voices roll in like the sea
promising what can’t be guaranteed
maps you drew begin to blur
every road bends, that’s for sure

stars fall silent from the sky
they don’t explain the reason why

we chase the wind and call it ours
caught inside the great confusion

This song came from realizing how much energy we spend trying to steer outcomes that were never fully in our hands. It’s about the quiet fear underneath that need for control and the strange relief that comes when you loosen your grip. I wanted it to feel calm but unsettling, like a truth that keeps circling back until you finally accept it. Letting go isn’t defeat here, it’s clarity.
