Terewai - meaning fast moving water. A sacred name passed down through generations. A flow that cannot be disrupted. Her quick wit, the rate at which she speaks half of the time 😆 and her mind are all for sure, a bit too fast. Keep up or she’ll literally leave you behind and probably won’t look back. She’s a witch of all trades & a wearer of many hats, scarves & vests. Goes by way too many fucking aliases such as Witchy T, Mama T and T Styler.


Her personality is reflected well through her sound. Honest and unapologetically herself with a raw authenticity. Her take it or leave it attitude always gets her in trouble while simultaneously getting her places. Following her nose of curiosity and asking a lot of questions along the way, she’s led on mesmerising journeys through soundscapes and space. Playing music that evokes emotions of euphoria, love, sadness, nostalgia, mischief and excitement. She’s a big fan of lyrics, sexy vocals and a cheeky giggle. 


Never one to follow the crowd and constantly paving her own path, you can hear her pumping out a range of eclectic styles. She explores all realms of house from deep, organic and progressive to melodic, minimal and tech house. She’s also in love with downtempo, deep tech, funky techno, hip hop, liquid dnb, breaks and more. 


Growing up surrounded by rock, reggae, dub, soul, R&B, hip hop, blues and jazz. She developed eager ears from a young age. Her three favourite parent genres being hip hop, rock and electronic. Hip hop, R&B and reggae ruled her from age 8 till 16. Rock was always a staple of her upbringing but she only dove heavily into it at age 12. She explored and still loves psychedelic rock, classic rock, grunge, blues rock, alternative rock, pop rock & acid rock. She finally found her biggest love, electronic, at age 17. Terewai draws inspiration from all these genres and channels it into sets that reflect her true essence and passion. 


T brings an energy that flows straight from the heart. Always trusting her intuition and the music. Her taste can be described as deep, progressive, euphoric, playful, and full of funk & groove. Her love for intricate, textured and layered sounds is immanent. Whether she’s playing downtempo, slow house and deep house or faster bpms like tech house, deep tech and techno. There always has to be a groove, soul and realness about it. 


A certified smooth criminal of the best kind, she’s eager to spread light throughout the underground scene. Her goal is to share the love and magic of music while also showing people how to drop the rest of it. I want to bring more love back into the scene and steer us away from the ever so rampant DJ ego and silly games. Bring it back to what it’s REALLY about. Music, people, vibrations, frequencies, community, happiness, fun and most of all, love.

Terewai Neil

German-born David Juno discovered electronic music in Jena before moving to New Zealand. Melody and organic sounds are at the core of the music he is passionate about, through different tempos and moods within the 4/4 realm of house and downtempo. David Juno concocts harmonious brews that enthrall listeners at large and small gatherings; clandestine woodland rendezvous; thundering, pitch-black basement blowouts, light-speed gigs aboard gleaming spaceships, and even interdimensional celestial soirées. He's a regular at XCHC and core member of Mary Hush. David Juno is a sonic conduit - his sets create atmospheric journeys that connect audiences through sonic storytelling, ranging from dark, spacious soundscapes to bright, energetic peaks that capture the full spectrum of human emotion and experience - with all the nuances in between.
