Is Approach to music and productions not rooted in intellectual superiority but in exploring and go where I haven’t been yet.
Trace the invisible lines between genres and styles.
“The more you educate yourself, the more you realize how uneducated you are” Andrew Weatherall would say. And just like him, who believed in music beyond boundaries, collecting material from the world and always telling a story even with apparently unconnected records, I want to envision a world where the value of music is redefined besides the music industry and the plasticity of an increasingly fast-paced world.
I want to create a nonsensical experimental space for play, where everyone is welcome to forget about everything they know about music, giving complete freedom and room for the natural flow of sounds, regardless of genre.

I usually don’t like club recordings so much, because recreating the vibe of a party is difficult via SoundCloud links, isn’t it? But as this was so much fun, here’s the recording of last saturday @ Fridas Pier! 

My sound for a biiiiig floor and not really much disco this time - but what else would you expect, when playing before Konstantin Sibold and in front of 500 people? House, acid and a proper amount of rave tunes!

(My recording device wasn’t the very best, so the audio quality isn’t that good too… sorry!)

Jakob Mäder is a Stuttgart based DJ and producer who also performs live. His musical interest spans across different genres: ambient, disco, house, acid, and sometimes even techno inspired music.

Together with his crew Midnight Service he organises events with artists such as Johannes Albert, Philipp Schultheis or Panthera Krause, just to name a few. 

Ranging from reduced ambient to classic house inspired deep house or experimental breakbeat productions, his output as a producer reflects his eclectic taste as a DJ. Besides crafting his very own tracks, cheerful disco tracks result from his artistic work every now and then. 

He started his own label Constant Change in 2021.
