Ibrahiym Jallow (born Mario McCottrell on January 20th, 1988), is better known by her stage name Jallow is an American singer and songwriter. Originally from East Saint Louis, IL, he relocated to Oklahoma City, Ok in 2008. He attended college and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in 2013 and later went on to obtain a Master’s Degree this year 2017. Jallow is a soul singer of Alternative R&B sound. His crafty unheard-of song writing style places him amongst a new wave of artistry. He likes to consider his lyrics “discerning”, due to his well thought concepts and nostalgia way of expression. His musical influences come from his early upbringing in the Rastafarian culture taught to him by his father. He contributes his influences from artist like Vaughn Benjamin (of Midnite) and burning Spear. Among other things, he entirely devoted a self-study into his own life and past to develop a sound that is unlike anyone else.
