Here is a new music arrangement I've made. Now this has been on the back burner for at least since last year, but I'm very happy that I finished it recently.  I'm also very glad with the final product and with how it sounds.

Hey all! Here's the first music of 2023!

This track was inspired by Mega Man 7, F Zero and many other games from that era. I've always wanted to do something fast paced but have the essence of classic video game music (hence the SNES and Mega Drive sounds being utilized in this) and thus this was born. And I'm very happy with how it turned out in the end.

Spent the weekend learning Surge XT synthesizer, recreating some patches I like in it by hand.

And all you get is 80s cheese, since the factory presets didn't come with any that were good enough in this category.

Making a number of presets for it, with a particular focus on FM and "keyboard player-ready".

Surge XT - DX-EPiano preset preview

So the story behind this composition is that the main motif of this was written by the client who sent it in MIDI form. This was to be the title theme for a story he wrote.

It was very skeletal and probably only has the main melody and some harmonies in MIDI piano form. I was then instructed to take that melody and build around it to create somewhat of Gerry Anderson show like piece with a decent layer of synth patches.

I took inspiration from my old 'Galactic Voyage' piece with the space SFX and overall feel, it's like this could be a battle theme for a show with that as the theme.

We spent 2 weeks learning, making, trying new things, eating subway in order to create a piece of music. This show demonstrates the diversity in each individual"s sound world but also our collective spirit in our love of tunes.


Expect some vampire synths, some bobby wobblers, funky swans, 90"s RnB and moreish sonic sojourns.

Hey all! Here's a new original that's been in the works for a while. This time it's a Mega Drive based one, using the furnace tracker.
This track was inspired by a lot of games from the Mega drive era, I'm very happy with how it all turned out.

Revving It Up

This song was produced as an homage to early 1980s post disco. Using classic sounds and gear such as the Linn LM-1 drum machine,  Arp Odyssey, and Prophet 5 synthesize. Using funk chords, and an uptempo beat yields a sound reminiscent of the early 1980s post disco sound.
