El Poser came from humble beginnings as a college radio DJ at Emerson College in Boston, Ma. He founded the monthly dark electronic music and art gathering CVLT, nominated for Best Dance Party by the readers of the Boston Phoenix.  El Poser strives to positively challenge people emotionally, in their minds, and on the dance floor through music. 

El Poser has brought hellfire to dance floors from coast to coast in the United States and has recently relocated to live in Bogotá, Colombia to explore new territory as an artist. He has played alongside legends and innovators such as Black Asteroid, Adam X, Frankie Bones, DJ Pierre, LOUISAHHH!!!, Deathface, SBTRKT, Jokers Of The Scene, La MiniTk Del Miedo, @LILINTERNET, DEV/NULL, White Ring, Glass Teeth,  Tamara Sky, Uproot Andy, Chief Boima, plus many others, and has been featured on Etoro Records (UK / IsaGT) Etoro Sessions.

Half Ecuadorian, and raised in the multi-cultural melting pot that is Riverside California, El Poser grew up influenced by, and subsequently playing many styles of dance music, however he is most known for his signature heavy, dark industrial influenced techno sound that will make your boots stomp and your body sweat. 

He feels these darker aesthetics resonate with a lot of people these days who wish to feel something deeper than the common superficial offerings found at your average dance parties. It is his belief that many people all over the world are experiencing a time of uncertainty due to uncomfortable social, political, and economic transitions in our every changing global society, and they are looking for an outlet to express how they feel. In light of this belief, El Poser brings darkness to dance floors creating an aggressive outlet for expressing emotion in a positive environment through dance with hopes of encouraging dialogue to help people gain understanding and acceptance of one another’s differences and struggles in both personal and cultural contexts.
