Josh Hammond (IYD) is a 19 year old DJ and Producer from Brighton who is currently studying Music Production at Leeds College of Music.

After starting music at a young age and learning to play multiple instruments his focus was performing music rather thanproducing. While progressingthroughcollege he played with a band later known as 'The Finest Thread', alongside Tom Taylor, Alex Treharne, James Livesey, Danny Ansell and Domi Hawken, playing piano and synths. They played at events such as Teen Spirit at The Pavilion Theatre and Odyssey Festival. During the last two years at the College he took up Music Technology A Level which sparked his interest for producing.

In The first summer he produced an acoustic demo album for Domi Hawken which also featured guitar and vocals from Alex Treharne. He also recordedmulti-track productions of Ed Sheeran's 'You Need Me' and The Killers' 'All These Things That I've Done'. Around the same time he took on his first electronic production which was a remix of Time by Chase and Status and can be found on his Soundcloud.

The sudden interest in Music Production also helped to enhance his creativity DJing. After DJing private events from the age of 12 with a friend from school he turned to a two turntable set up and the duo split to go their seperate ways. This over the years has turned into a set up of two turntables, two Pioneer 1000s and a Traktor Kontrol X1. At the same time he created his original logo and name (I'm Your DJ) which has now come to be 'IYD'.

At the end of college he received a place at Leeds College of Music where he currently studies. Since then he has released several remixes and original tracks including a collaborations with other electro house DJs (Brindez & Statik). He has played at The Cockpit, Hifi, Space and Maluko in Leeds as well as Hedkandi, Madame Geisha and Lola Lo in Brighton. He is lined up to play monthly at Bar Room Bar Leeds as of December and will be playing one off events throughout the year. Check the gig page for more info.

Hi, I am a DJ in West Sussex and I am also a founding member of the event management company JW Events. I often DJ at events that JW Events are doing and have also done a set at Hurst Disco. I will be uploading some of my mixes that I have done at events along with some studio work.
