Since triumphantly bursting on to the folk scene at Celtic Connections 2015, Dosca - the energetic five piece ensemble of bagpipes, flute, guitar, bass and drums - are quickly making a name for themselves among some of Scotland's finest folk acts.

With influences from Scottish and Irish folk, as well as a hint of jazz, the band’s self-titled debut EP was launched early in 2015, leading them on to a number of prominent appearances throughout Scotland and further afield – including the MG Alba Scots Trad Music Awards, Piping Live! in Glasgow, Edinburgh's Fringe fetival and a return to Celtic Connections in 2016.

They have also made successful ventures to mainland Europe, none less so than when rapturously received at the Schots Weekend in Belgium in September last year, as well as a sold out concert at Celtica Valle D'Aosta in Italy during their highly attended 2016 summer tour. Collectively the band’s members also bring a wealth of touring experience (whilst still students), having undertaken tours to Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Qatar, Switzerland and Brazil.

A 24 year old folk musician from Glasgow, James takes inspiration from different aspects of his musical background to create a distinct and diverse sound. As seen on BBC One's Hogmanay Live and Quay Sessions, STV, and in many venues across Europe & America, he is an energetic performer with a lot of passion.

To date James Harper has performed with such artists as Dougie MacLean, Tom Walker, The Royal Scottish National Orchestra, The Tannahill Weavers, The Chair, Sketch and more.

Following his graduation from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, James plans to release his highly anticipated debut album 'Culzean' in March 2020.

As well as regularly appearing with the Red Hot Chilli Pipers & Dosca, James is BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year Semi finalist 2016 & 2018.

An explosive four piece folk ensemble, Havanti take inspiration from different aspects of their collective background to produce a distinct and diverse sound. 

Collectively, the members of Havanti have performed at sold out venues at the Celtic Connections and PIPING LIVE! festivals, The Royal Albert Hall, The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, The Usher Hall, and have travelled to places such as Germany, Switzerland and China.

As students of The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Havanti are energetic musicians with a lot of passion.

With multiple recording sessions underway, Havanti are studio bound to record their debut EP.
