Black Is the Color – Traditional American folk song acoustic guitar & vocal solo by Jack Straw.  This is one of the best love songs ever written. It was collected in the Appalachian Mountains of the USA.  Possible of Scottish origin due to the reference to the River Clyde.  But with folk tunes one can never be too sure as the 'Clyde' mentioned in the song may be a local reference.  The song goes back so far in America that it most likely has its roots in old world material.
