Wow! I just can't stop listening to this piece! I love all the American influences from Gershwin to Adams that have been swished and swirled around to make this such a rich and heady cocktail.

My work for symphony orchestra, Irrational Exuberance, was written for the BBC National Orchestra of Wales during 2013 and 2014. It was workshopped and performed as part of Composition: Wales in spring 2014 at the Hoddinott Hall, Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff Bay. It was conducted by Jac van Steen. The leader of the orchestra was Lesley Hatfield.

The work was inspired by phenomena associated with economic asset bubbles, where investor enthusiasm is unsupported by the fundamentals, and takes its name from a term first coined by Alan Greenspan, former Chairman of the US Federal Reserve.

Sometimes I find great music, and sometimes music simply finds me. In this case, it was a dear friend, Luke Howard, who pointed me to a piece by Marty Hicks which completely captivated me, and now, here we are, premiering a track to a worldwide audience. Albecq is the project of Angus MacRae, James Jones, and Thom Robson, three London-based experimental artists and composers. The collective was formed in late 2016 based on a love of vintage synths, unhurried free-flowing soundscapes, and the pioneering ambient expeditions of Basinski and Stars Of The Lid.

I'm a composer who writes music for television, film, theatre and the concert hall.

My most recent work includes the score for Panorama - Britain's Brexit Crisis, broadcast on BBC One, 18th July 2019; music for BBC One's Country And Coastal Auctions; The Three Day Nanny for Channel 4; Touching The Wild, a natural history documentary broadcast on PBS; and Cutting Edge The Rich Kids Of Instagram, Channel 4.

Previously, I’ve written music for a range of short films, including the award winning Washdays (dir. Simon Neal) and Rocket Boy Roger (dir. Russell Holliss), docu-dramas such as Locked Up Abroad, TV comedies like For The Win (dir. John Hopkins for BBC Three) and a television advert for Yakult. Earlier this year, the BBC National Orchestra of Wales performed and recorded my work, Irational Exuberance, at the Hoddinott Hall, Cardiff. I also write for production music libraries including BMG, EMI, Grey Man, Cavendish and Boost.
