"THE RICHIE ALAN STORY" > Hello,I'm RICHIE ALAN, I am a profesional Entertainer. How it started? Well, I was given my first real guitar at the age of eight by my Uncle Frank Augeri. I always had a special love for music. At the age of 13 I started to Play guitar and sang at my local church. By the time I was 15 I started a band called The Steel Strawberries. We played Grand Funk music! LOL.. HA! Hey it was a start. :-) We won three battles of the bands but, at local church functions. By the time I was 18, I really knew I wanted to play professionally. I booked my first pro job at a little club called the Elm Lounge On Elm street in Brooklyn, NY. Just me, a guitar and an old gretsch Amp. It went on from there. A few years later I started another band called “ONE NITE STAND“. Witch was guitar, bass, and drums trio with 3 part harmony volcals. We did mostly Oldies of the 50’s & 60’s. This band played everywhere in the tri-state area! Thats, Brooklyn, Oueens, Long Island, Staten Island, Jersey Too. We also played about four summers at the Peekskill Dude Ranch in upstate Peekskill NY. One night we were working a nightclub in Brooklyn, and “Joe Villa” of “The 3 Friends” Hit songs “Blanche” “Short Shorts” “Believe me”to name a few. Walked in just to say hello and have a cocktail. He heard "One Nite Stand" Playing... And he asked us if we could back him up in a show at the Beacon Theater On "Broadway" in NYC.We did. I did shows with Joe, The Three Friends. And We also did a Gig With Joe at the W.T.C. in NYC. It was a Christmas Party.Oh We still worked as ‘One Nite Stand’ too, all over,We worked 6&7 nights a week. ‘One Nite Stand’ lasted For over ten years! After that Drummer, Jimmy J and I played as a Duo. I also did Duo work with Bobby Martin, who was a Keyboard Soloist, Bobby worked all over too. Shortly after, I then also, went out as a Soloist to date. All together I have Been in the business of Entertaining for OVER 35 Years. Working Bars, Night Clubs, Restaurants, Weddings, Dinners, & Party's of all kinds, and so on... This is the short synopsis of My story! However, I can go on & on there are menny storys, about menny clubs and partys. I'll tell you some of them when we meet. >> I just recorded a CD at my home studio. It has 23 Songs on it. Music of the 50’s 60’s 70’s, Country, Jazz, Blues, and Guitar Music too. I call it, ( A Little Bit Of This - A Little Bit Of That CD.)
