JDR fait ses débuts en Belgique dés 2002. Il y trouve rapidement ses références et enchaîne les dates dans les bars et clubs de la région. L'année 2009 marque son arrivée à Lille où les clubs emblématiques lui ouvrent leurs portes et lui permettent de partager l'affiche avec des figures variées telles que Radioclit, Baikal, Terence Fixmer, Pierre (Fuse), Spacid (kozzmozz) ou encore Jeff Mills. 2011, il fait sa place dans le DJ Booth du célèbre Magazine Club avec son complice, le Dj/producteur Matthus Raman. 2013, il devient également résident du Moog Analogic Bar, QG des boulimiques de sons techno. Il est régulièrement aperçu aux côtés de Missnoa (DJ-productrice) - un quatre mains testé et approuvé dans des clubs tels que le decadence (be) ou le Wood (be). En 2016, il fête ses 10 ans de résidence à la nuit de l'archi, festival alternatif de la frontière belge.
Une année 2018 toujours dans la capitale des flandres pour JDR avec sa résidence pour la septième saison au Moog, des événements variés à venir dans les clubs lillois avec notamment les "all night long" du côté du Baron Club. Years of sweating in garage bands evidently prepared the Lipsky brothers to break boundaries in commercial club culture with a sound that somehow evokes the essence of psych-rock while never sounding out of place alongside certified technoid bangers.

Their musical breadth as producers speaks to their talent as DJs, with a deep passion for record digging that again conveys very specific sensibilities – a love for the exotic, the yearning for transcendence, as well as the rough rebellious energy of punk. They produce dance music from the margins, full of with narrative, melody, and drama. It’s intense, in a good way.* 

Their affiliations to broad-spectrum labels like Multi Culti, Disco Halal and Correspondant might paint some picture of their range, and their stellar remixes for artists like Nicola Cruz, Adam Port, Autarkic and Polo & Pan may have earned them lots of plays,  but their debut LP ‘Sorry, We Did Something Wrong’ is undoubtedly their most ambitious and elaborate statement to date. Drenched in their influences, rich in collabs with a range of artists like Sepultura’s Igor Cavalera and C.A.R., the record is at once ambitious and, as the title suggests, apologetic. Their capacity for embracing these polarities, a radical boldness tempered by self-consciousness, it may divide the audience, but it shows unmistakable personality.

Simple Symmetry returnes to Multi Culti with an epic, mournful EP called “Problem,” featuring a huge remix by long-time compatriots Red Axes. Another huge edit for CULTED is on deck, as well as a peak-time rework of Drugface, following up on their massive mix of ‘In the Clouds.’
