Another astoundingly gorgeous song with lyrics that ring so many bells from the past.  To say I'm impressed would be a huge understatement.  Wow.

this is great..you write the diametrically opposite situation from "I must accept love" and the verses are equally clear and give out the proper sense of remorse/refret/resignation

MÁRD (2022) for ensemble

Piece composed in 2002 for the trailer of the documentary 'My Three Peaks' ('Le mie Tre Cime') by Andreas Pichler. Direction: Andreas Pichler | Animation: Nunzio Cicero, Gigi Tarantola, Tatiana and Riccardo Arena. 
Part of the piece was later used in the final cut of the documentary. This track marks my very first experience with a sampler! I used Halion software (maybe version 2) and some sample CDs for Akai lent to me by a friend.
I put it here as it was, just cleaned up a couple of clicks, also because although I kept the score I no longer have either the sounds samples or the software to open the original project...

Tre Cime (Trailer Soundtrack - 2002)

I believe this dates to 2019.  I think it was a coffeehouse/listening room kinda thing in Atlanta.  We didn't really rehearse this much so it's a bit loose.  This song tells you so much with such economy of words.  It's a masterpiece, in my opinion.

I’m a singer/songwriter from Guildford, Surrey, England. I started writing songs when I was 12 on a piano but really got into it when I started playing the guitar at 13/14. As with so many of us, career and family became the priority and I stopped writing over a 30 year period. Now I’ve retired, I’ve finally got time to write and record again and I love it! 
I play everything on the songs and record on my MacBook on GarageBand. Still learning!

My linux won't boot so I'm presently forced to use Windows, and because of the bug in Soundcloud's system my account is all messed up when I don't use a VPN to connect which I am unable to do now... trying to get help from my VPN provider. 2024/01/29:
What I wrote below was heart felt but presumptuous and pretentious.  I would have to not be stupid myself to be allowed to claim such a thing.  More importantly though, I don't believe it is correct or accurate.  These people are probably not stupid but just don't care.  Justice is a collective thing and many if not most people seem to live in bubbles.  It is perhaps economic oppression which is responsible, they just don't have the resources, the time, the energy to be concerned about what lies behond that bubble.  It used to be fine but there's this thing they call globalization which makes this increasingly impractical or impossible.

Justice and vengeance are not the same.  Apparently most people are too stupid to see the difference.  Unfortunately it is not something unique to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and not unique to group conflicts.

What happened to intelligence?  Aren't we supposed to be the "intelligent" specie.
