I’m pretty much self taught. I learned Jazz and rock on the street. If you are fine with that then we can talk. I’m fine with it. I play guitar, sax and flute, most of time. People mostly wrote about the guitar playing. I think I’m best at flute although I don’t have that much of it out there on recordings. My melodic sense seems to be best tuned to saxophone and for the last 4 or 5 years that was my main focus. Lately I’ve been back to focusing on guitar.

I have had the great fortune to record and perform with amazing people like Scott Amendola, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Ephraim Owens, Jerry Marotta, Mike Keneally, JA Deane, Brannen Temple, Mike Malone, Damon Smith, Jeff Platz, Matt Crane, Chris Tondre, Ronan Chris Murphy, Dave Laczko, Stu Hamm, Chris Maresh and so many others. In 1991, I was staying in Lucy, Jamaica.  My host was a great guy named Sala, with two young children, I am guessing 6 and 8 years old, named Pili and Amal.
I got to the house late. So I met the kids first thing in the morning, in their kitchen, as a total stranger.  Pili, the older daughter, stared for some time before saying, "Do that again!  Make a fist!"  I closed my hand, and yelled, "Amal, Amal come here!  He is pink and white!  He is Whitey! No... he's Pinky!"
Sala scolded her saying, "Pili! Do not call him that.  His name is Billy".  For the next month, whenever I came walking up the road, I was greeted by all the neighborhood children yelling, "Hey, it's Pinky! Pinky Pinky!".
Fast forward a bunch of years, and boom!... Pandemic.  Until the quarantines are lifted... there will be no live shows to play, no booking tours, no supporting new records and so on.  Hell, I can't even travel to most places I have played shows over the last 10 years.  I started thinking about the days of cassette mixtapes, and how simultaneously cool and stupid they were.  I started thinking of a new "project" that would make absolutely no money... making themed mixtapes until this situation changes enough to go see the world again.   I mentioned it an old friend, Alex Havoc, who had drawn a bad ass cartoon for an old Mossburg Music ad, and he said he would be willing do some drawings.  That made the decision easy.  Here we go.
