MadTech Records looks towards the approaching summer season this May with ‘MadTech Ibiza 2016’ comprising sixteen original exclusives for the compilation.

It’s been an exciting start to the year for MadTech Records with the release of Max Chapman’s debut long player and releases from key players Solardo and Bontan, here we see the label look forward to the incoming summer with an Ibiza focused compilation featuring a broad spectrum of hotly tipped and up and coming producers.

Across the sixteen tracks MadTech welcomes back some of its key artists such as Max Chapman with his energy fuelled ‘Paravana’, Alexis Raphael’s snaking, groove-led ‘Sink The Studio’, Solardo’s dark and brooding ‘Music Save My Life’ and No Artificials Colours’ hypnotic house fuelled ‘Daze’.

Some other exciting artist on the rise turn in their contributions such as Montel, Jhonsson, Latmun and Lance Morgan, while MadTech once again shines lines of some of the emerging talents the label has unearthed from across the globe return such as Apollo 84, Holt Blackheath, Stefano Esposito and many more.

A leading light at the forefront of the new wave of British house music, northern star Richy Ahmed returns to his home label Hot Creations with a monumental two-track release entitled ‘So Good’.

Richy Ahmed has been riding at breaking speed since his debut EP ‘The Drums’ dropped on Hot Creations in 2013, crowned as Pete Tong’s ‘Essential New Tune’ and receiving a wealth of support worldwide. The following year he followed up with his ‘Sneaky Acid’ EP as the 50th release on Hot Creations and made his Radio 1 ‘Essential Mix’ debut. Since then he has spread his wings producing releases for the likes of Circus and Strictly Rhythm and remixes for Hotflush, Suara and Truesoul to name a few. The talented producer is now back on Hot Creations and about to drop one of his best to date.

His first release for 2016, it features two house jams both with a different style. 'So Good' is a perfect summer groover and. 'Ruff N Raw', as the name describes, is quite a tough house banger. Both have been causing serious damage!
Aside from producing, Richy is an integral member of the Hot Creations crew, acting as both A&R and being one of the main residents and curators of the line ups for Paradise at DC10. He also enjoys an extensive touring schedule playing all over the world at hotspots such as Panorama Bar and fabric. Now in 2016, there are no signs of slowing down with the launch of his 'FourThirtyTwo' branded parties that see him playing all night to small intimate crowds. Richy also plans to launch his record label later in the year under the same brand.

Solardo - Acid Jump - Acid Jump EP - LR039 - OUT NOW

Miami born turntablelist & producer, Jesse Perez, throws down a booty shaking killer house jam for Edible’s fourth release.  “What You Say About My Momma” has been ripping up dancefloors for months since landing in Eats Everything’s hands, so it’s a welcome release on the label, backed with a deadly remix from Truncate.

On the Original Mix, Perez grinds out a funky and low-slung groove, its memorable vocal hook looping and chopping from side to side as the raw MPC beats and sub bass weave their magic.  

Truncate brings his no nonsense and direct approach on the remix, carving out a Dance Mania style drum workout over the cut up vox (think Robert Armani meets Armand Van Helden).  Truncate has been a hugely dependable producer for yonks via his trax on his own Truncate label as well as mixes for Jimmy Edgar, Shlomi Aber and KiNK, and he does not disappoint here.

Perez wraps up the EP with ‘Boogie Down Brown’, another slab of funk laden house goodness, blending high tension strings and rolling drums to great effect.

Perez has been firing out infectious house jams for labels like BPitch, DJ Sneak’s I’m A House Gangster and Hot Creations, for some time now, as well as working his own label Mr. Nice Guy, so it’s a welcome addition to the Edible roster for Jesse Perez.

If 'This Love' is the rugged, abrasive techno roller then 'Settled' is the Innervisions-esque floater. We've got the premiere of the latter and it's pretty special.

Ominous low-ends rumble while delicate yet deadly riffs twinkle on top and the ferocious claps and snares only add to the pace. It's a refined and accomplished track from the Londoner and has all the makings of one of the summer's biggest smashes. Bravo.
