I found a really crappy old microphone made for a computer when i was rummaging one day. for some reason i kept it. then i found some random free audio recorder/mixer for download. figured it could hurt to try. quality is piss poor and i still havent gotten down the mixer exactly. but damnit, im having fun. so feed your ears with partially mixed crap ive been wanting to get recorded; accompanied by me again with completely unnecessary leads. BOOM!

Born in the south and raised in the musically rich culture of Athens, Georgia, Count Kellam has provided more than 20 years of his life developing lyrically strong, passionate and sincere, atmospheric americana rock. He cites the brilliance of Radiohead, Roy Orbison, Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley, Neutral Milk Hotel, Wilco and Johnny Cash as his well of influence. His first release in 1999,"if sounds were blu", quickly garnered local attention and led to his first independent deal with One Def Ear. The album was only a glimpse of what could be offered, spanning genres and presenting a unique production style.

Home recordings and touring extensively along the east coast over the next several years led to his 2004 release "animal you rock star". Again, Kellam managed to impress his lyrically driven songs upon a welcoming community, earning him "Songwriter of the Year" at the 2005 Athens Flagpole Music Awards, and second place for "Album of the Year", behind other local favorites, the Drive By Truckers.
At the onset of 2009, He hit the road west and found himself in Sedona, Arizona. Driving high up on top of a mountain, with a clear view of desert and recorded his 2014 release "Sedona". Its a dark, lonely and honest portrayal of an artist in transition, heading to a town unknown to begin a life anew.
That town was Portland, Oregon, Where he established his recording studio, Troy Boiler Room. Expanding on his own personal interest in engineering and production led him to record and produce multiple albums for many local bands such as Spirit Lake, Olina, Dusu Mali Band, Kinder Bison, Jeff Andrews and The Dandy Warhols.
Now with a renewed motivation, Count is collaborating and performing with many local musical heroes, and displaying his musicianship and songwriting with a new found vigor. Expect many releases in the year of 2014 and beyond from this musically prolific songwriter.
