James Dexter returns to Large Music for the official follow up to the highly regarded Only You EP from earlier this year. James picks up right where he left off in the opening title track; Rise is a bass heavy and moody underground chugger with just enough retro flourishes to remain authentic. Next up on deck is the laid back groove of Cross Wind, ripe with trademark James Dexter vocal stabs and a brilliant synth line that drives the energy forward. Finally, James ventures into chunkier territory with the crisp rhythms and liquid bassline of Alright.
