Wipe the Needle returns to the label alongside his latest cohort Venus Beats with "We Shall Overcome". The song was monumental for us as it is was our 200th release around the tail end of 2023!Now we're fresh into 2025 with a remix from the legendary NYC house music Producer/ DJ Frankie Feliciano, once again bringing his exceptional NYC production and musicianship to the label.
The vocals performed by hackney-born soul sister Sherelle "ShezAr" McKenzie, a renowned and well seasoned force within the UK Soul/Gospel scene alongside her sister Jaybay!
Both ladies deliver an awesome anthem style vocal performance sending a positive message in their lyrics which will definitely resonate with most. Singing about no matter what you maybe going through in life today, in time "We Shall Overcome"!!
A superb release to start off in 2025 of Makin' Moves Records.

This amazing song "Don't You Wait" was featured on Solange's epic 2016 album entitled "Seat at The Table." I literally can't believe it's been nearly ten years since I first heard this song. Man, time flies when you're in love with good music. I always wanted to put my lil touch on this banger and let Solange's beautiful voice simply do the rest... Enjoy!!!

In the early 1980's Lionel Richie left one of my all time childhood groups The Commodores to pursue a solo career in music and boy did it pay off. Lionel was super talented and had a golden voice so his success wasn't a surprise but I don't think anyone knew just how big he would become. "Love Will Find a Way" is one of my favorites by him, written by Greg Phillingaines  who's one of the most talented background musicians ever in my humble opinion. This tune is just so well written and so very smooth... Enjoy!!!

Makin' Moves nurtures up and coming talent, aswell as collaborating with established names. Matt has a wealth of experience under his belt having previously worked for dance independents Papa Records and Tribe Records UK, an internationally acclaimed label and events company. Jamesey, along with hosting his own radio show on www.housefm.net since 2004, has been an essential cog in the wheel of London's soulful & deep house scene, independently performing at most of the major parties in London swell as guest spots abroad in Japan, New York and Dubai.
