After his fabulous first appearance on our Kalaidoscope VA we welcome back French artist CLAIN with his own Vierge EP on Mirror Records. The title track Vierge starts progressive and builds up into a stomping dancefloor banger featuring lovely vocal chops and slightly trancy melodies. Monsieur Pluspetits remix of Vierge takes a darker approach adding a haunting and technoid touch to the release. The second original track Better Now Than Tomorrow sustains a quite dark vibe but the playful melodies and rhythms add to a bittersweet masterpiece. Vierge is one of these very unique releases that have something for any taste and will resonate with its listeners for a long time.

Ethereal Connection

Pete Oak's Blindfold Recordings is set to release a massive new EP from Dizharmonia. The record is already garnering support from the likes of Marco Carola, Sasha, Danny Tenaglia, Anthony Papa and Dino Lenny. Simina Grigoriu bridges the heavy and the melodic realms of techno for her inaugural EP on Kuukou Records. An experienced globetrotter, Simina is known for taking great inspiration from her travels, so it comes as no surprise that the name she’s chosen for her own label, Kuukou stands for “airport” in Japanese. 

Ninja Princess provides an exotic sound exploration, setting off all the elements from the get go. We’re emerged into a vibrant melody with a progressive bassline, taking us from luscious vocals to winding synths within a matter of seconds. Next up on board is Citizen Kain, taking us on a trip to the dark side of the Ninja Princess. Gloomy kicks set a dark trippy atmosphere, while Citizen Kain strips down most of the track’s elements, resulting in a minimal yet mesmerizing approach.
