BIAS were born from an idea of Giorgio Lai who, in 2012, composed the five songs of the EP Heart&Mind, the core of a concept album. Heart&Mind is a progressive, yet melodic, EP influenced by classic hard rock.
In February 2013, Lai begins recording the five songs playing all the instruments (bass guitar, electric and acoustic guitar, voice and percussion) with the exception of drums and keyboard, recorded by sidemen.
In October 2013, after the recording, Lai decides to form BIAS, with whom he intends to compose and finish the concept album.
BIAS reach their final lineup in March 2014 with Giorgio Lai (voice, guitar and piano), Enrico Deiana (guitar and backing vocals), Alessio Damasco (bass guitar), Ivan Camboni (drums and percussions) and Maurizio Baduena (keyboard, piano and backing vocals). 
BIAS blend melodic sounds, easy to any ear, with technical difficulties and refined lyrics. Their quest for the union of these three elements is aimed to separate them from recent musical productions
