Attracted  to  the  vast  sound  world  for  trumpet  and  organ,  Ellie  Lovegrove  and  Richard Moore  decided  to  form  a  musical  partnership  as Illumina  Duo in  2012.  After  five  years' music-making  in  the  rich  aural  landscape  created  by the  two  instruments, which  has  included  commissioning  music  from  emerging  Britsh  composers  Paul  Burke  and  Solfa  Carlile,  they recorded  a  disc  of  contemporary  British and  American  music  on  the Convivium label, which will be released in Summer 2017. 

Recent recital venues include Trinity College Chapel, Oxford, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, Alexandra Palace, Fairfield Halls, Croydon, St Alban's Abbey, Winchester Cathedral and St Paul’s Cathedral.They premièred  Paul Burke: Five Poems, as part of the London Festival of Contemporary Church Music’s 2014 programme.
