53 Year 6 instrumentalists from across our 5 primary schools came together for the day with our secondary musicians for a day of festive music making. This culminated in a fantastic evening concert hosted by the Jayess Newbiggin Brass Band, where over 70 NCEA students joined in to perform the pieces they had mastered during the day. What an amazing experience!

Everyone at James Knott has the opportunity to learn the recorder and JSax as part of whole class tuition, and many pupils continue to learn how to play the alto or soprano saxophone in year 6. We enjoy showcasing our musical learning to parents and carers whilst supporting the wider community with musical performances where ever possible.
