Peaer - Pink Spit

Swedish post punk quartet Affordable Hybrid from Vänersborg, Sweden return after 7 years with new record titled Bat / Roky. This is the first recorded material since 2009's fantastic second LP No Area, No Criminals. When we asked the band about the hiatus this is what they had to say...

"After years of furious crawling even the strongest of snakes needs to hibernate. But as you all know, hibernation doesn’t last forever. And when a snake wakes up after a long slumber it is going to be hungry. The snake is awake and getting ready. Are you ready?"

This is some of the band's best recorded music to date, which has moments that are reminiscent of the Blue Album by Weezer and the legendary Swedish punk band The Division of Laura Lee with a rockabilly twist.

Bat / Roky will released on October 28, 2016 on Flannel Gurl Records. Affordable Hybrid will be touring Europe in the Fall.

Bristol-based Anglo/Swedish collective Hang Massive released new single ‘Upon The Star’ via Wise Dog Records on 11th November 2016 in the midst of a European tour promoting third album ‘Distant Light’.

Both the new album and single feature the stunning vocals, songwriting & Hang composition of Victoria Grebezs, and lush electronica and production of Morgan Davenport.

Victoria is a long-time collaborator with Hang Massive and one of the few female Hang artists in the world.  She brings her powerful and melodic style of playing to the Hang Massive group, joining them on tour this year as a featured artist. Her music under the stage name 'Storia' is a mystical fusion of ethereal vocals, dreamy lyrics, Hang and world instruments and she is about to embark on an exciting new solo project. The viral spread of Hang Massive’s first music video release, the hypnotic instrumental ‘Once Again’ (2011), generated many millions of views online (including 40 million for the track on the band’s own YouTube channel alone) and introduced many to an amazing new instrument, the hang drum. The band’s organically nurtured global fan base includes more than 330,000 YouTube subscribers and 220,000 Facebook fans and continues to grow.

Hang Massive founders, Danny Cudd and Markus Offbeat, met on the shores of Goa, India where they passed the winter months enjoying the enlivening and creative vibe that flourishes there. When not touring, their time is now split between their studio bases in Goa and Bristol.
