Imagine growing up near Berlin, getting into dance music, going to Berghain for the first time and getting your mind blown by techno. Then, ten years later, you become a resident DJ at the fabled club. Not many people—any people?—can claim this story, but for Fadi Mohem, what would be so many DJs' dreams became a reality. After getting his 2017 debut 12-inch Reckless in the hands of all the right people in Berlin, Mohem established a bold, bouncy techno sound with releases on Modeselektor's Seilscheibenpfeiler, Ben Klock's Klockworks and FJAAK's SPANDAU20, pretty much the cream of the crop of modern techno.

Now, this year, he's becoming one of Berghain's newest residents, alongside other exciting names like Sedef Adasï and Naty Seres (and Lakuti upstairs at Panorama Bar). As heard on his recent collaborative with Ben Klock, Mohem has modern techno down to a science, thanks to a combination of reverence for the old-school and clever rhythmic touches, like the irresistible snare pattern on "Prefix." His RA Podcast sounds like what you might expect from a new generation of Berghain resident: aerodynamic, heavy and, honestly a little midtempo compared to a lot of other young techno DJs. It's the sound the club has made world-famous, with cuts from Reeko, Heiko Laux and Truncate, plus some special moments from aya, DJ Deeon and Petar Dundov. It takes a certain kind of DJ to get to this hallowed place, and Fadi Mohem deserves it.

A Sunday afternoon delight from two of techno's most beloved heavy-hitters arrives exclusively on our Soundcloud.

Berlin techno viking and founder of Dystopian Records Rødhåd and the young, accomplished and Mote-Evolver regular Rene Wise have released their 4 hour set recording from March 2023, a huge B2B session that saw the pair delve in and out of eachother’s company for our last Continuum party. They played an extended set during the final Continuum 24+hour party of the season this Spring. 

The session, which started at 4pm as the tail end of the afternoon drew in and went on til 8pm ahead of a closing set from Ben Klock and Marcel Dettmann, proved to be one of our highlights from the event. It's a real treat to be able to share the full recording; smashers from the get-go that takes us through the hard and heavy, to the atmospheric and energetic.

Lock in below and transport to the incomparable energy of Room 1 on a Sunday afternoon. Sometimes, we reckon, there's no place like it.

011 – DVS1 - Recorded live from fabric

In the early hours of Friday morning, from 7 to 9 am, I had the honour of gracing the stage of this iconic festival – a place that holds a special place in my heart since my first visit in 2001. Fusion has always been the epitome of what a festival should be, and being invited to play on the main stage was a dream coming true.

For this sunrise set, I didn't go straight for the heavy bangers. Instead, I carefully curated a selection of tracks that were meant to ignite that special colourful energy as the festival prepared to take it´s morning rest soon. This set is a mix of vinyl gems, with a few digital exclusives sprinkled in. This warmth and authenticity of vinyl mixing, especially that magical low end quality, on a sound system like Lambda Labs, takes precedence over the perfectly polished digital mixes.

I really hope you have a great time with this set, just like I did when I played it. Unfortunately, we hit some technical snags at the beginning, so that part got cut off...

This mix was recorded live from Reaktor's Katharsis event in 2017.  For those that don't know, Katharsis happens once a year and is dedicated to the faster, harder and more industrial side of techno.  This was my entire 3 hour set from that night.

Over the last few years we have built a steady relationship doing events together and sharing our passion for this music.  We are teaming up once again for ADE 2018 and releasing this mix as a thank you to all our followers and supporters.

By way of Berlin and before that Moscow, NYC-based vinyl only techno DJ, producer and record label owner Mary Yuzovskaya has been cultivating her unique orbit in the electronic dance music firmament for over 10 years.

Having graced the decks of all Moscow’s hotspots back in the mid-2000s, Mary moved to Berlin, where she quickly became recognised for both her blisteringly-precise vinyl-only techno sets and her painstakingly professional approach to the craft of DJing. Based in New York City since 2013, Mary currently holds a residency at Unter, a notoriously secretive underground techno party showcasing the best in local and international talent. Also, in 2017, Mary launched her very own record label called Monday Off, where she curates and presses work from artists that explore techno's trippier, more hypnotic side.

Mary has been fortunate enough to share the decks with many talented and internationally recognised musicians such as Marcel Dettmann, DVS1, Emika, Developer, Somewhen, Claudio PRC, Henning Baer, Xhin, Tommy Four Seven, Perc, Deadbeat, Anthony Parasole, Edit Select, Dino Sabatini, Norman Nodge and many others. She has been busily traveling the world and performing her unique take on techno music’s deeper vibes at many noted clubs across the world, including Tresor in Berlin, Arma 17 and Propaganda in Moscow, ://about blank, Distillery in Leipzig and Output in Brooklyn, to name only a few.
