I got an artistic scholarship from French Foreign Ministry from Paris to study in India the Tabla (Indian drum) and I have been emerged into Hindustan vocal. I stayed in the city of Lucknow and Calcutta (Kolkata) for 7 years.
I played Tabla 15 years but my parents both vocalists I was already into singing and composing atmosphere since childhood as well as arrangements. I felt I needed to study rhythms but always I was having the mood for singing and it was the strongest love I had...I finally came back to my origins back from India in 2004 and started to search myself by composing, trying to find a vocal colour and it took time for me to define myself in all this complicated concept. To compose, to arrange, to sing, to mix, to make the mastering all by myself and to get a coherent balance in my project all by myself has been a huge struggle. I had to forget all I learned to make a fusion in myself and spread out what I digested for years and years between western music, Indian music, jazz that I studied a bit as well and I really had a long pregnancy...lol...I had not to be too Indian in my music color, not too jazzy and not too western...I had to forget all but before erasing my memory I had to make a master of it and to keep the juice of it in a small place into myself..
Music is my life for true. I don't make it wishing to earn money, I make it because i can't breath without it, I would have died without it...and I never can understand those musicians, singers who make music for the money that comes along it. Most of the time they have short carrier. I don't have a vision of any carrier, music in my life is my carrier and if any fame comes one day, I will always keep this way of seeing the sings, it can't be another way for me. If no any fame comes and if I get old and still totally unknown I will never have to face any kind of frustrations because the main thing is to create and share EMOTION. We are in a time of sensation and my trip to India through music was an introduction to the origins of music which a long time back was sacred and which is still present in the approach of music in that country. In India a piece of music can be developed very gradually...a song can be developed for 2 hours and the main vehicle is EMOTION, not SENSATION . Here in western countries everything is FAST and based on SENSATIONS. In India they study emotions with microscopes and they take time to develop it very gradually. But there are some Artists here that have talent to share EMOTION in a short period of time. One of them, a master, Stevie Wonder, is one of my favorite artist. He knows how to offer the essential, the juice with a very efficient emotion. People, all of us, we need emotion, we are so thirsty of it, soooo muuuuch. I hope to be able to give it as much I can.

Welcome to the Golden Guys Podcast! We primarily use magic and the most lo-fi recording process we can imagine and not pay for (so far). But as we continue to have to sell our gear off to feed our pet *Panda's bamboo addiction; soon we may have to just conference call into a WebEx using our phones and have someone monitor it from a few doors down in order to find that right balance of reverb and delay we've now been searching for, as of, whenever I end this paragraph with a period.

*Seriously 50lbs of Bamboo a day! This guy is a big beautiful (and Imaginary) beast! Bamboo is also not cheap, especially the imported stuff our fictitious pet likes to eat.*
