One of the few tracks that use my own vocals. I wanted to create something similar to 'I Need You' and 'Pegasus' with that feel good melodic dubstep.

Everything started at the beginning of last year. I had just started working on my upcoming EP, so I was defining its story line. At first, I was blocked since I didn't have any startpoint. But then, I thought about the toughest moment I had been through in the last 3 years. I thought about the critical low point I had gotten to that made me hit rock bottom, and after which I put myself back up again and found out the joy in me by starting to make music. So I started writing the lyrics based on the following experience and defined the most important part of my story.

𝐒𝐓𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐁𝐄𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐊:

It had been a few months since I got out of a toxic relationship that ended up in the distance and it was a very difficult time in my life after such a huge loss. So I felt so much resentment that I wrote very relatable lyrics to put words to my feelings and hopefully help someone who's going through the same situation🥺

𝑩𝒓𝒐𝒌𝒆𝒏 portrays feeling lost and desperately resenting yourself because of losing someone very important and seeing there is no way back.

STORY BEHIND THE TRACK:

Don’t Let Me Fall’s story was inspired by a real experience in Jaime's junior year back in 2018. Jaime met someone by the end of the summer that year who really came into his life at the right moment, since he was going through a rough time with college while living in Madrid. After a few weeks, that love went sour since she started to become colder and more distant, but by that time Jaime had already gotten stuck on her.

THEME:

Don't Let Me Fall portrays being stuck on a love that has gone sour and wanting the other person to stick around.

JAMES V is a Vancouver-based singer, music producer & songwriter who started his music career in 2018. 

Starting his career as a singer-songwriter, he quickly got into the EDM scene and started producing electronic dance music. He started off 2020 with a feature of his track, "Back To You" on Spanish television in front of thousands of viewers.

With his track "Broken", JAMES V got his first self release surpassing 10K streams on Spotify. 

To launch his music career, JAMES V got his first label release with his single "Don't Let Me Fall", which was released in ARWV Records.

Shortly after, JAMES V released his remix of "Only You" by Orlando based producer AVELLO  
& vocalist Madeline Austin as part of the Only You (Remixes. 

Covering the emotional journey that led him to start making music JAMES V just released his debut EP, "RENAISSANCE"
