The year is 2014. One of the most respected metal band of India play  their comeback gig at Thrashfest in Thane on 9th Feb 2014 and all hell breaks loose as if they never went on a hiatus. Raise your fists for 'Sceptre', who have weathered every storm that has come their way and are still standing tall in a quicksand of bands wallowing in mediocrity, trying to survive and live another day. For Sceptre, one can say, life has come full circle. After grappling with line-up issues, the band has revealed another ace up it's sleeve which have only silenced their haters into an oblivion of sorts. The international acclaim of their second album, ' Age of Calamity'  boosted their morale, so much so that the songs from this album finally made it to the radio waves in Poland, New York, Australia and U.K. Not knowing the twist of fate that lay in store for them, the band had to part ways with their vocalist  last year,who had worked with them on 'Age of Calamity'. The band took this on their chin and roped in long-time friend and Lunatic-in-Chief, Gary Gracious to handle the vocal duties of the band. And it was only pandemonium from there on as Gary Gracious caught the band by the scruff of it's neck and dragged them into the limelight, which the band had been missing from since a while.

                        The 16 years of hardships finally paid off on 8th Feb 2015 when Sceptre played their first international gig in Dubai at the Legends Bar. Needless to say , the band delivered their finest performance and definitely a memorable one for a long time to come. But always gauging the zeitgeist and paying heed to what the fans asked for, Sceptre gave it's fans another reason to celebrate as they inconspicuously auditioned for lead-guitarists and went on to announce the addition of Ronojoy Barooah, as their new lead-guitarist in 2015. Ronojoy, who is a graduate from the esteemed M.I. institute in CA , will bring his own method to the madness and one can only wait and watch for the new material which the band will be releasing soon.

                        It is safe to say that the Mumbai thrashers are back with a renewed sense of purpose and are here to give us some of the finest thrash Indian metal has to offer. Question is...would you have it any other way?

Rediscovering India is a feature length film which for the first time captures the entire country in one single film.  It follows the adventures of five people as they travel across the country in one car to make this documentary.

Steeped in the mountain folk sounds of Boulder, Colorado, I started raiding my parents' classic record collection of The Beatles, Santana, Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, etc.. in High School, before discovering jazz. I went on to study jazz performance & composition at Cornish College of the Arts and Berklee School of Music. A painful nerve condition forced me to give up music for a time, at which point I discovered the healing power of yoga and the depth of India's ancient spiritual wisdom. I've spent most of the last 12 years living in south India and recorded some songs inspired by the life and teachings of Mata Amritanandamayi.

Marina India was born in the ancient, colorful, multi-lingual city of Varna on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, where the West borders on the East. While her training in the European musical tradition started at an early age, with piano first and later on bassoon at the music Academy in Sofia, she felt drawn to foreign lands and distant horizons. In 1991 she became one of the founding members of the OM Formation, a performing group with which she played experimental music and toured the world. The numerous venues in which she played include a world record “high” – the Kalapatar peak, just below mount Everest.
Her growing interest in the richness of Indian classical music and eastern traditions led her to the oldest art and music school in New Delhi where she studied from 2003 to 2008. In that period she created the project “Along the Long Road” – a collection of songs strongly influenced by Indian culture and arranged in a way that speaks to contemporary audiences. Between recordings and performances, she did long retreats at ashrams in the north and south of India. While learning to play old Indian music instruments, she discovered the secret power of mantras and Nada Yoga – the yoga of sound; she was taught by advanced spiritual teachers. Continuing with her performing career, Marina India currently records albums with music for meditation and Yoga Nidra (the yoga of dream); she also conducts workshops on Sound Therapy and Sound Yoga.

India Ramey blazes a trail through cinematic spaghetti western landscapes to wood floored Honkytonks and the Appalachian foothills.  
 
            Featured as one of the “Must See Acts at SXSW “(No Depression, Austin Chronicle), a Nashville’s Lighting 100 artist of the week, a two-time Americana Fest showcasing artist, and one of NPR’s “10 Nashville Artists on the Rise”, India has only continued to rise among the ranks of as one of Country and Americana’s brightest up and coming artists.  Ramey’s last two albums’ mix of Americana noire, country and southern-gothic songwriting helped expand Ramey’s reputation far beyond the Deep South and she’s toured heavily around and beyond those releases.  Her most recent album, Shallow Graves debuted at number six on the Euro Americana Charts and landed a song as Rolling Stone’s pick of the week.

	Ramey has just completed recording a new album with Grammy award winning producer, Luke Wooten (The SteelDrivers, Brad Paisley, Dierks Bentley, Sunny Sweeny, Jim Lauderdale). The new album combines India’s classic country sound with her dark cinematic imagery cohesively and seamlessly.

Impact Zone India is a not-for-profit music production and distribution house. It was set up because of our belief that "enabling, enriching and equipping" people from diverse backgrounds was facilitated through education, art and culture as medium. 

It evolved out of the parent organisation 'Dorcas Research Centre for Education, Art and Culture' which was founded in 1992 by the late Shri. G. Bhujanga Rao IAS. Since then we have been very active in the empowerment of depressed and marginalised people on the fringes of society, such as people with disabilities, people living with HIV/AIDS and persons from the sexual minorities.

﻿We have always used the arts as a medium of reaching out to people thus enabling behavioural change and effectively advocating for their rights and needs.

​Our belief that music has the power to uplift the soul inspired us to produce songs with endearing spiritual value. It is our intention to continue to bring music that levitates the soul. Therefore our first album has been aptly titled "Thrahimam" meaning "my soul cries out in thirst to the divine"﻿.

Thrahimam consists of 7 favourite 'Telugu Keerthanas' that are traditionally sung in churches across Andhra Pradesh. These 'Keerthanas' are more than 50 years old and some of them have been around for more than 150 years since they were first sung.

We have retained the beauty of the original lyrics, but have infused newer world sounds into the composition to make them contemporary without losing their tradition. This album will show case to the world the treasure trove that is hidden within the 'Andhra Christian Hymnal'.﻿

Music Director 'Pranam' Kamlakhar has justice to the traditional Hymns ( Keerthanas) by using the state-of-the-art technology in recording and production. More than 75 senior musicians have played for the Album "Thrahimam" and the Album was produced over 7 months, with recording across 15 studios and 3 states ( TN, AP and Kerala) of India. Every effort was made to ensure that the traditional tunes were intact and that the flavour of the songs to evoke the divine was undiluted!  

Kamlakhar, popularly known as ‘Pranam’ Kamlakhar, has got over 2 decades of experience as a musician for few hundreds of movies. He’s a flute specialist and is capable of playing any woodwind instruments in the World. He worked with Pandit Ravi Shakar, 'Maestro' Ilayaraja, A.R.Rahman and other reputable music directors across India. In 1996 he also played for the legendary Beatles George Harrison in his Album " Chants of India". A perfectionist by passion, Kamlakhar has been producing quality and melodious music for many years now. With years of experience, today, he teamed up with some of the best musicians in India to add a world class music album to the Christian Spiritual repertoire in the world fusion genre.
