This is my house remix of De La Soul’s classic “All Good?” – a fresh reinterpretation that keeps the soulful energy of the original while reimagining it for the dancefloor. I built the remix around the iconic vocal, adding a groovy bassline and funky guitar layers to push it into a warm house vibe.

My goal was to capture the uplifting spirit of the original while giving it a new perspective for today’s club and festival sound. It’s a tribute to De La Soul’s legacy of sampling and reinvention, reworked through my lens as a house producer.

At the end of every year most labels and publications look back and reflect on what has come before, re-packaging old tracks together or making top ten lists. IÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢m always trying to find some big new records at the end of the year so I can go play something fresh, so IÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢d like to present the DIRTYBRD New Years Special. 

Here are seven new bangers for your holiday DJ sets. The tracks are all new & most of them are by new talents on the label. Fresh faces include veteran German producer David Keno, an all new act called Jaded, Sirus Hood from Paris, My Cat Snoop, Mikey V, Wood Holly & Sage Armstrong.  Of course we have a few guys who have been on the label before, Ardalan, Genghis Clan, and Nick Olivetti.

All the tracks work great in the club which was the main criteria for the compilation, no headphone b-sides here (although we still love those too!). Happy holidays to everyone.

'Understand' is the explosive new release from Shaun Dean, an EP complete with killer original mix and ingenious re-work from Welsh producing talent Jay Robinson. The track gets off to a running start with a fast paced, pounding beat, and proves it's salt as full throttle dance floor fodder with high-energy ricocheting percussion and echoes of power-house vocal. 
 
Robinson's remix follows, the frantic beat of the original muted to create a lower, more underground sound, with sections falling away to distant, ethereal melodies. This light and shade gives the track a new lease of life while still celebrating the original.
